Chapter 5 The assassination

• (Melrose POV)
• I woke up to notice that the sun is setting, feeling hungry I put on my a black hoodie and joggers, I checked myself up the mirror, my gray eye are now more like silver and as always my hair is still silky and wavy as if I just combed it, I chuckled as I left it wavy and went downstairs.
• Still my parents haven't returned, I checked the time and it was 6:23 pm, I let out a long sigh, they haven't let the house for long before, what's happening?.
• I locked up the house and went out to grab some food in a nearby restaurant, I decided to walk because it's not that far.
• I arrived and opened the restaurant door and walked in.
• "Hello sir, what can I get you." One of the waitress there asked me as I stepped inside, I smiled at her and told her what I wanted for the night, when she left to prepare the food I noticed a movement outside the restaurant, some bulky guys on black were staring at me from the outside as if to make sure I didn't escape.
• I wave it off and went back to focus on my hungry stomach, my mind kept telling me that their gaze are distracted now that I should run, but I ignored it, deeming it as imagination of fear, first of all how can I face the waitress and at the same time know that their gaze was distracted, I think it was still the stress of all the events that happened today.
• "Beautiful sir, you order is ready." The girl said handing me the food with a smile, I thanked her, payed and grabbed the container of the food and left the restaurant through the main door, my mind kept screaming that there was danger but I ignored it with.
• My mind was still screaming danger and I kept waving it off as I started trekking home but suddenly I saw a black bus speeding up to my direction, I panicked thinking that it failed break, as I was about to jump off the road it suddenly stopped making me to breathe out in relieve and started walking back home but then the bus doors opened and eight bulky men came out making their way to me.
• I was still trying to put together what was happening but I wasn't so fast in my thinking as they are already in front of me as they grabbed me throwing me inside the bus and locked all the doors and windows of the car when they entered whilst speeding off to god knows were.
• When I have gathered enough information and what was happening, I started to scream at them.
• "What's happening?!, where are you guys taking me?!, let me go this instant?!" I kept on screaming and punching anywhere that I could get my fist on, but they didn't bother as they where laughing at my useless effort.
• "What do you think?, that we will just let you go and forget about our money after all the hassle and planning that we did to get you?, impossible. " one of the guys said and the others laughed.
• "Actually you are a fine specimen but what a pity after tonight you won't be alive anymore. " the other guy said as I panicked and choked on my throat.
• "W...what do you mean I won't be alive anymore?" I asked dreading the truth that my mind is telling me of.
• "Of course we would kill you, but sadly we won't fuck you before that, it's actually my only regret in this mission." he said and they laughed again, but I didn't talk as my mind were filled with thoughts.
• 'What will happen to my parents if they found out that I am dead?, will they get over it or drawn in sorrow?, apart from my parents, would anyone miss me?, how would they find my corpse?'.
• Suddenly the car stopped as they opened the door and jerked me out whilst carrying me to the one and only beach in our city, 't...they want to drawn me?...
• I panicked as they dragged me to the sea and on reaching there, I saw no other than my childhood best friend, the girl that I have practically done everything for, is she?.
• "Vera?, what are you doing here?" I asked her and she started laughing maniacally.
• "What am I doing here?, of course you know what I am doing here, you are dumb but not enough not to know". she said laughing.
• "Why?" was the only thing that came out of my mouth as I am trying to suddenly wake up and realize that it was a dream or nightmare.
• "Why??, I have hated you Mel, I have hated you since when we where kids, I think it started from me noticing that you are pretty more than girls, each time we play and run around, people will be complimenting how you looked and no one would notice me, Lax that was our friend was falling for me from the first time we meet, oh I regretted the day that I brought Lax to you for you to see my boyfriend as my bestfriend." she paused as she went on to laugh like a witch or something I don't know but the laugh weren't human.
• "You know what happened?, immediately as Lax set his eyes on you he forgot about me, his girlfriend and started falling for you, he falled for you beyond repair that he would cry everyday because you didn't notice his love, I was devastated that my precious boyfriend falled out of love with me and went on straight to fall for my bestfriend, but I endured it hoping that Lax will finally notice me again as you were oblivious of his love for you, but I guess my deduction was wrong because Lax devastatedly went back to our plane leaving me here to suffer alone and from there my hate for you increased, everyday it multipled that I started to become restless, I think I will be restless till I kill you." she said again laughing.
• Lax?, falling for me?, I never know, heck I didn't notice and all this went on in her head and she didn't bother to tell me, I thought we were bestfriends, and Lax disappeared that time but I didn't ask her where he went to because I thought he was her boyfriend and that it didn't concern me as long as they are good with whatever they want, wait what!, our plane?, which country is that.
• "Vera I didn't know, how would I..." I tried to go on but she cut me off laughing whilst saying.
• "Of course you wouldn't know, how would you know when you are too busy to notice, and just so you should know, I am the one that soiled the mind of our school to distance and isolate from you, I made it my life mission and made sure that it was accomplished." she said again laughing, wait! she did that?.
• "But I guess it didn't quench my hatred towards you, I could have killed you by my self but they would know I did it, that why I hired these assassins to do the work for me, so bye Mel, both of us can't be in existence together." she said without a care in the world, who would know if she killed me by herself?, who are they?.
• "Kill him now!" she said as she turned around and disappeared into smoke just like the headmaster, wait what?.
