• By the time I woke up the next morning, the bed was empty. Nicholas was nowhere to be found and I was grateful about that. 
• The fact that his piercing eyes won’t be watching my every step was a thing I was glad about. I quickly made my way to the bathroom, laid some new clothes from my bag on the bed, and walked back into the bathroom to take a shower.
