• I stayed curled up in the ball on the bed and I’ve remained this way for the last three days of my return from the capital.
• It did not surprise me that the prince didn’t come after me, or send words. I took it as his way of moving on with lady Shewa, whom he referred to as his childhood friend. It hurt because that wasn’t the Edward I knew, or maybe this was the real Edward and the one I knew was a lie.
