• Quiet crying reached my ears and pulled me out of my peaceful darkness. I opened my heavy lids and turned my eyes to the source of the sound.
• Blake was sitting on a chair with his hands under his chin and tears streaming down his handsome face. My eyes drank him in until I noticed he was wearing clothes and the place we were in was a hospital room.
• When he saw I was awake, he gasped and stood up. He sat on the bed and took my hands.
