Chapter 11
- Darkness had already spread around when we reached a small road, and I gasped in excitement. I made a small happy dance and turned to look at the wolf. My grin wore off when I saw the way his eyes were darting in every possible direction. His body was so tense that he reminded me of a Meerkat looking around for enemies. I heightened my senses. We were alone. There weren't even many birds around us as they usually hid from our kinds. That was a pure sign there was a werewolf in the area.
- “We'll be fine, Mate.” I put my arms around his back, and he leaned forward, shortening the height distance between us. “My pack will accept you with open arms,” I cooed in his shoulder, but in reality, I clenched my jaw.
- He pulled back and put his hands on my ribs. He was getting more and more touchy.
