  • The atmosphere at the dining table remained heavy with silence as Oscar, Phoenix, Zainah, Shiro, and Carter gathered for dinner. Despite the array of mouthwatering seafood and steaks spread before them, their expressions remained devoid of emotion. The late hour hinted at their disrupted sleep patterns, adding to their weariness.
  • Phoenix and Shiro, in particular, had only ventured out of their cabin for the sake of propriety, knowing that Oscar had gone to the trouble of organizing their first dinner on the island. They had little desire to engage in conversation, longing for the comfort of sleep, much like Airi.
  • In contrast, Carter and Zainah genuinely felt hunger gnawing at their stomachs, their excitement for the food evident in their expressions. However, the stillness around the dining table persisted, stretching minutes into an eternity, until a new voice shattered the silence.
