Chapter 22

• It must have been the cosiness of his new rooms because it took John up until 8am to wake up the next morning. It was actually a banging noise that woke him. He had been sleeping fitfully and comfortably, dreaming about those legendary lions on the beaches of Gambia. Hearing the sound, he reluctantly roused himself. He was about to go out there and find out what the fuss was all about when he remembered that he had several men under his command. He called to one of them and when he came in, asked him what the hell was going on outside.
• "Boss Nico, señor," the ruffian replied.
• "What's Boss Nico up to this time?", John grumbled as he threw off the sheets.
