Chapter 7 "Enigmatic Whispers"

  • Sabrina's voice trembled slightly as she questioned Sebastian Knight's intentions. The unease in the air was palpable as he remained silent, his gaze fixed on her wounded hand. She couldn't help but feel a mix of apprehension and curiosity about his motives. His silence only intensified the tension in the room, leaving her unsure of what to expect.
  • Sebastian Knight's eyes studied Sabrina's injured hand. Sabrina's instinctive response was to hold her injured hand tighter against her chest, a subconscious act of protection.
  • The silence between them stretched, each passing second adding to Sabrina's mounting anxiety. She searched his face, trying to glean any hint of his intentions or emotions. However, Sebastian Knight's enigmatic demeanor made it challenging to decipher his thoughts. She wondered what he wanted from her, why he had taken her captive, and what his plans were.
  • Sabrina's mind raced with possibilities, but she remained steadfast, determined to maintain her composure despite her vulnerability. She knew she had to gather her courage and confront him directly, even if it meant facing the unknown.
  • "I told you that if after doing this stunt (said while eyeing her wrist) you got saved, then nobody will save you from me," Sebastian reiterated, his tone firm and unyielding. Sabrina on hearing this said nothing, and turns her gaze from his face towards her lap.
  • Sebastian continued with a stern expression, "I'm ordering food and medicine for you, which you will take, showing no tantrum and attitude. Because, little sparrow, if again you behaved like a spoilt brat then your other wrist I will cut by myself."
  • Sabrina gave him a horrified look while hiding her hands behind her back. Sebastian, however, seemed to derive some amusement from her expressions, and a smug smirk formed on his face. He proceeded to order food for her, and after around 10 minutes, a maid arrived with a tray of food.
  • "Eat," Sebastian commanded, his tone leaving no room for disobedience. Sabrina hesitantly started eating the food, acutely aware of his intense gaze fixed upon her. The weight of his gaze alone was enough to send shivers down her spine, and she made a conscious effort to avoid looking in his direction again. The atmosphere in the room remained tense and unsettling as they both maintained an uneasy silence.
  • She didn't want to provoke his anger, realizing that his threats were genuine. Despite the pain in her hand, she managed to finish her meal, enduring the discomfort as she used her injured hand to eat. Sabrina glanced towards Sebastian as he pointed to the medicines placed near the tray. Understanding his silent instruction, she silently took the prescribed tablets.
  • "I know you must be curious about why you're here, right?" Sebastian remarked, breaking the silence. Sabrina simply nodded in response, her curiosity piqued.
  • "You are here for a reason that will be revealed to you in due time. For now, just stay here and try to make the best of your situation," Sebastian explained, his tone carrying a mix of mystery and detachment. With that, he rose from the sofa, indicating the end of their conversation.
  • Sabrina's anger flared up at Sebastian's response, fueling her determination to know the truth. Disregarding his instructions, she abruptly stood up from the sofa, her voice laced with frustration and impatience.
  • "I want to know right now why I'm here! I refuse to stay in this place and I want to return to my previous life. Can't you understand such a simple thing?" Sabrina exclaimed, her words filled with defiance and frustration. However, her outburst was met with a sudden change in Sebastian's demeanor.
  • Sebastian abruptly turned around, his eyes bloodshot and intense. In a swift and assertive move, he pinned Sabrina against the wall, her arms held tightly in an iron grip. Sabrina's throat tightened as she felt the weight of his gaze upon her, realizing the extent of his power and the intensity of his emotions.
  • "I told you not to speak in that tone, didn't I?" Sebastian's voice was laced with danger and anger as he reprimanded Sabrina. Realizing the mistake she had made in her anger, Sabrina nodded her head vigorously, fear evident in her eyes.
  • "I... I'm so... sorry, Sa... m... arth," Sabrina stammered, attempting to apologize, but her words only seemed to further infuriate Sebastian. His fury was now on full display as his expression turned even more furious.
  • "Don't you dare to take my first name ever, understand?" Sebastian's voice thundered with authority as he shouted at Sabrina. Overwhelmed by his anger, Sabrina closed her eyes tightly, trembling in fear of his wrath.
  • "Seb, what are you doing? Leave her," Vidhant's voice held a mixture of concern and frustration as he intervened, pulling Sebastian backwards. Sabrina winced in pain as the grip on her arms was released. Her eyes welled up with tears, a combination of physical pain and emotional distress.
  • Sebastian continued to give her a deathly glare, his breathing heavy and intense. Sabrina stood frozen, her face filled with fear and uncertainty. Sensing the need to shield her from Sebastian's intense gaze, Vidhant positioned himself in front of Sabrina, acting as a protective barrier.
  • Sebastian's glare shifted from Sabrina to Vidhant, his expression still filled with anger and hostility. After a tense moment, he turned his face away, his gaze lingering with a mixture of frustration and unresolved emotions.
  • "Take her out from here now," Sebastian's angry command echoed through the room as he stormed out, leaving a tense atmosphere behind. Vidhant, slightly exasperated by Sebastian's actions, muttered under his breath, “Lou isko out karnay ka Keh kr khud he out ho giya, (He said to take her out, but he only went out)" and shaking his head in disbelief at the sudden turn of events.
  • Sabrina, tears streaming down her face, cried silently, still overwhelmed by the intensity of Sebastian's anger. Vidhant turned towards her, his expression filled with empathy and concern. "Come," he softly spoke, reaching out to hold her trembling hand.
  • Sabrina, too frightened to speak, followed Vidhant silently, her hand tightly gripping his for reassurance. He led her back to the room where she had awoken that morning, a place that now felt both familiar and foreign to her.
  • Vidhant gently sat Sabrina down on the bed and knelt in front of her, meeting her tear-filled eyes with empathy.
  • "Look, Sabrina, I understand that you want to know everything, and believe me, you will eventually come to know," Vidhant began, his voice soothing. "But for now, please refrain from doing anything reckless. Seb isn't a bad person, he just has some anger issues."
  • "I...i....d..o...nn...tt li...ke h.i..mm," Sabrina stuttered, her words interrupted by hiccups. Vidhant couldn't help but let out a small smile, offering her some comfort.
  • "Even I don't particularly like him," Vidhant whispered, as though sharing a secret. Sabrina managed to smile back, finding solace in the fact that she wasn't alone in her feelings.
  • "I'm sorry I behaved rudely with you," Sabrina blurted out, feeling remorseful for her earlier outburst. Vidhant offered her a forgiving smile and reassured her, "It's okay." He then left the room, urging her to get some rest.
  • Feeling a mix of fear and unease, Sabrina walked over to the door and locked it from the inside, seeking a sense of security. The thought of Sebastian's return filled her with dread, and she wanted to protect herself from any potential confrontation. With a trembling heart, she made her way back to the bed and buried herself under the comforting embrace of the fluffy duvet. Exhaustion and the effects of the medication soon took hold, lulling her into a deep sleep.
  • The next morning, Sabrina was jolted awake by the sound of knocking on the door. Startled, she quickly regained her senses and hurriedly got out of bed. With cautious steps, she approached the door and cautiously opened it, relieved to find Vidhant standing there instead of Sebastian Knight.
  • Vidhant entered the room with a cheerful smile, bringing a sense of warmth and comfort. Sabrina managed a small smile in return and made her way back to the bed, still feeling groggy from sleep. Vidhant placed some bags on the center table and turned his attention to Sabrina, who was rubbing her eyes to dispel the remnants of sleep.
  • "Good morning, Sabrina!" Vidhant greeted her, his voice filled with genuine concern. "I brought you some fresh clothes and a few essentials. I hope you find them useful. How are you feeling today?" he asked, his eyes reflecting genuine care and compassion.
  • "I hope you're not foolish enough to believe that you're fine just hours after cutting your wrist," Sebastian remarked with a sharp edge to his voice as he entered the room. His presence sent a chill down Sabrina's spine, intensifying her anxiety. She felt an immediate urge to distance herself from him, fearing his unpredictable anger.
  • Vidhant's face contorted with unease as he glanced between Sebastian and Sabrina. The tension in the room was palpable, and Sabrina's throat felt dry as she struggled to find her voice. Sebastian's words pierced the air, carrying a mix of condescension and anger, further unsettling her.
  • Sabrina's gaze instinctively lowered, avoiding direct eye contact with Sebastian. She hoped that by shrinking into herself, she could deflect his attention and avoid further confrontation. The memory of their previous encounter, and the pain and fear it had caused, still lingered in her mind.
  • The weight of Sebastian's disapproving gaze made Sabrina feel small and vulnerable. She sensed his anger simmering beneath the surface, like a coiled snake ready to strike. The fear coursing through her veins made it difficult to find the strength to speak or stand up for herself.
  • Recognizing the tense atmosphere, Vidhant stepped in, attempting to defuse the situation and shift the focus to Sabrina's well-being. His words were meant to redirect the conversation and provide some semblance of normalcy, though the undercurrent of unease remained.
  • Sebastian's eyes, filled with a mix of intensity and scrutiny, shifted towards Vidhant, his true emotions hidden behind a stoic facade. Sabrina held her breath, awaiting Sebastian's response, unsure of how he would react and what it would mean for her in that moment.
  • Sebastian opened his mouth to say something, but Vidhant swiftly interrupted him with a stern look, using the nickname "Seb" to convey a sense of familiarity and authority. Sebastian's expression softened slightly as he shook his head, perhaps realizing the need to restrain himself in that moment.
  • Vidhant took charge of the situation, redirecting his attention towards Sabrina's well-being. He instructed her to freshen up before they resumed their conversation, a small reprieve from the intensity of the situation. Sabrina felt a wave of relief wash over her as she watched Vidhant lead Sebastian out of the room, hoping for a moment of respite.
  • Sabrina followed Vidhant's instructions and changed into fresh clothes, attempting to gather her thoughts as she sat in her room. Her mind was filled with a mix of apprehension and curiosity, uncertain of what Sebastian wanted to discuss with her. Just as she was contemplating the situation, a maid entered the room, informing her that Mr. Knight was calling for her.
  • Sabrina's heart skipped a beat upon hearing the news. Mixed emotions surged within her, ranging from curiosity to fear. She gathered her composure and prepared herself mentally before heading towards the summon, unsure of what awaited her in the presence of Sebastian Knight.
  • “To be continued…”
