Chapter 1 Life Before Hell

• POV JESSY
• Hi, my name is Jessy. I'm 22 years old. I live with my mom in New Jersey in a small town in Paterson. My mom's name is Hope Jenkins. She's 34 years old. My dad is no longer with us. He passed away, but something tells me he's alive, just hiding and waiting for the right time to come out. My dad's name is James Jenkins. He's 35 years old. He is a Mafia king. Me and my mom work at a nightclub called Sexy Kitties. No, it's not a strip club, but with how the girls dress, you might as well call it one. Anyway, I have two friends, and they are the best friend's that I could ask for. Dean Matches is my best friend, but one thing he doesn't know is that I'm in love with him. I would rather keep it that way, too. Then you have Dean's twin brother David Matches. He had a thing for me too. But I only like Dean.
• “Jessy, do you have to work tonight?”
• “Yeah mom. Do you have to go in also?”
• “Yeah, boss man wants to talk to us.”
• "I wonder what we did this time, or which one of the girls reported us?”
• “Me too, kiddo.”
• We both got ready for work and see what happens next.
• “Hopefully, we get a raise.”
• “Right? All the hours we've been working I think it would be nice. We will see when we get there.”
• We walked in and said hi to everyone. We made it to work as always on time and the other girls hated that. They try their damndest to get us fired or not get the VIP section. I just laugh because I think it's childish. There's one girl that's cool, her name is Jen.
• “Let's go see the big man himself shall we?”
• “Yes we shall.”
• We walked to our boss's office which is down the hall on the left side of the club. sounds like he's busy with his flavor of the night.
• “We will come back later.” .
• As soon as we walked away of course the flavor of night came out and started talking shit.
• "What are you looking at bitch?"
• "Nothing but a barbie that can't keep a man satisfied."
• “Boss man, when are you going to let a real woman rock your world? I mean come on, these Barbies can't be doing the job right if you're hard again, am I wrong?”
• “Jessy, only you know I have my eyes on someone but I don't know how to approach her. Because she's the most beautiful person that a man can ask to be in their lives.”
• “Hmm, do I know this person?” .
• “Yes, absolutely.”
• “I can help you out by just giving her name and number before I go home.”
• “Okay, sweetheart.”
• “So I heard you wanted to see me and my mom?”
• “Yeah, that's true.”
• “What's up?”
• “Well we have guests coming tomorrow night. I need you and your mom here early, like 7pm.”
• “Okay, this must be big?”
• “Yes this is they are the new co-owners. You and your mom are the only ones I trust doing this for me.”
• "Okay, no worries. We got this.”
• “Thank you ladies for doing this tomorrow. I know it's y'all's day off. I appreciate it and you both get a better and good raise."
• “Thanks boss.”
• “You two can get to work now and you two can leave early as well.”
• "Thank you Dean."
• "No problem, ladies."
• "Now back to work we have a slow day."
• We got back to work but my mom asked to talk to Dean about something. I hope she doesn't ask him about what I said. It was a harmless joke. But I do like Dean a lot.
• "Hey Jake, what did my mom have to talk to Dean about? "
• "Hey sweetie I'm not sure hun."
• "There's a guy that wants to talk to you."
• "Okay thanks Jake."
• I walked over to the guy and he grabbed me and dragged me to the back of the club. He started hitting me and stabbing me. I couldn't move or scream for help. I just hoped and prayed that someone would find it before it was too late. The man said something and it was about my mom and dad. Who is this man? Why would he hurt me so brutally? I have to ask mom when I get better but right now I'm in so much pain. I heard footsteps please let that help me? I heard Dean find me and told my mom to go back inside and call for help. That's when everything went black but I can still hear him talk to me. We made it to the hospital and operated on me to stop the bleeding. Which thank God they did. I am still wondering why did that man do this to me? What did I do so wrong to have this happen to me? I want to know why and I want to know what's really going on. My mom won't tell me Dean won't tell me the only one who can tell me is my dad and we don't know where he is at this time. This is driving me crazy and I need to know why danger is always following me. I heard my dad say something about dad's brother and that might have been him who did this but I'm his niece why hurt me? I hope when I wake up this will all be a bad dream. I'm scared of the dark and there's no light here. I'm all alone, I just want to go home.
