Chapter 2 Just Wanna Say Thank You

  • "How come your ex feels at home there? We're going home," Clairnta protested when Hannan and Daffin had finished their business, while they saw Radit was still in the same coffee shop as them.
  • Hannan and Daffin's conversation had indeed been over since fifteen minutes ago. At first, they planned to wait for Dhea's ex-lover to leave there soon.
  • However, when it turned out that he had not left while Hannan and Daffin's business was finished, Clarinta suddenly ran out of ideas because it was impossible to let Dhea go home without Hannan.
  • Meanwhile, Dhea and Clarinta couldn't possibly ask Hannan for help anymore by taking Dhea back to her boarding house.
  • Apart from not being in the same direction, well, Dhea and Clarinta didn't want to bother Hannan any further.
  • "Yeah, why are you complaining to me? What kind of psychic am I?” said Dhea did not accept. "Well, you guys go home. I can go to the bookstore first, then come home using an online taxi.”
  • "No way! You come home with me!” replied Clarinta did not accept.
  • "I'll be home alone later. Promise me, I'll take a taxi car instead of a taxi motor."
  • "Let Dhea go home with me in a little while. You two go home first, that's okay if there's still something to do," said Hannan, trying to meditate.
  • "Eh? Really?" Clarinta asked, faster than Dhea.
  • "Yeah. Well, go home first."
  • Hannan waved his right hand at the couple in front of him and told them not to worry.
  • "Well then, let's go back first, okay?" Daffin said goodbye and asked Clarinta to leave, leaving the two of their best friends.
  • "Thanks for saving me again, this time from Clarinta's fussiness," said Dhea to Hannan.
  • "You're welcome," said Hannan curtly. "Are you still here or what?"
  • "Eh? If you want to go back now, come on. We'll walk up to the front together, I'll wait for a taxi a bit far so my ex doesn't see it."
  • "Why? Why did you take a taxi?”
  • "Eh? What's the matter? I want to go home, so I'll take a taxi, according to what I said to Clarinta earlier."
  • "I also told Daffin and Clarinta, that I'm going to take you home."
  • "Eh? Isn't that the reason so that Clarinta and Daffin can quickly get out of here so Clarinta will stop fussing at me?"
  • "No. I want to take you home. So, let's go home now."
  • Hannan stood up first and then stretched out his right hand, waiting for Dhea to welcome him.
  • Even though Dhea herself hesitated, she finally accepted the outstretched hand and let Hannan hold it while they walked together towards that man's car.
  • "Hannan, do you have some works to do after this?" Dhea asked when Hannan's car left the mall area.
  • "Nothing, just want to go home," replied Hannan.
  • "Hm... do you mind if you have dinner at my boarding house?" bargained Dhea. "Eh, but this is if you want.
  • "I just want to say thank you because you want to be my fake boyfriend and also take me home.
  • "So... because this morning I was planning to cook for dinner, I wanted to invite you to that."
  • "Is it okay if I eat at your boarding house?"
  • "I should be the one asking, don't you mind eating my cooking? It's safe to eat. It just doesn't feel right."
  • "Well then, I'll just have dinner at your boarding house. I want to call my friend at once."
  • "Okay then, we'll have dinner at my boarding house."
  • »Guide Me to Your Heart«
  • "Wait a minute, let me cook first, it won't take long," said Dhea after she invited Hannan into her boarding house. "Sit down, please. Sorry if there is no sofa here."
  • Dhea grimaced slightly as she motioned for Hannan to sit on the pillow sitting on the floor, close to her bed.
  • "It's okay. I want to call my friends first to discuss work," said Hannan.
  • Dhea nodded and allowed that man who works as a lawyer to sit there, while she went to the kitchen to get Hannan a glass of mineral water and invite that man to drink.
  • "If you want coffee or tea, just say so. I'll make it for you," said Dhea.
  • "Yeah, I'll tell you later. Thank you," said Hannan.
  • "You're welcome," replied Dhea then chose to leave for the kitchen to start cooking.
  • Hannan looked around the boarding house and found that although it wasn't that neat, everything seemed to be quite neatly arranged and put in its place.
  • That man then looked at Dhea who was focusing on her cooking ingredients in the kitchen. It took him a long time until he finally remembered that he had to discuss it with his co-workers in Jakarta.
  • "Dhea, can I borrow a phone charger?" asked Hannan when he realized that the tablet battery was low, and his charger was in the car.
  • "Of course you can. But… can you take it by yourself? My hands are dirty because of flour," answered Dhea, grinning while showing her hands that were covered in flour.
  • "Okay. Where is it?" Hannan asked again.
  • "In the nightstand drawer to the right of the bed, the top one," answered Dhea.
  • Hannan nodded, and then stepped towards the nightstand that Dhea meant.
  • When he opened it, Hannan immediately fell silent, because it wasn't a cellphone charger that he got, but something he shouldn't have seen.
  • "Is there?" Dhea asked as she turned to Hannan, and frowned when she saw the man staring at the open drawer. "Oh, my God!"
  • Dhea wiped her hands carelessly with her apron while walking briskly toward Hannan.
  • "Um... Sorry. I mean the nightstand on the left. Here, I'll take it for you," said Dhea with a face that was as red as a tomato, even reaching her ears and neck.
  • Stiffly, especially because Hannan was silent, Dhea went to the other nightstand and took what Hannan needed, and gave it to the man.
  • "This is the phone charger. You can charge your cellphone at the study table there," said Dhea, pointing at her study table awkwardly.
  • "Thanks," said Hannan and went to Dhea's study table, while Dhea herself returned to the kitchen awkwardly and tried to restore her concentration on cooking.
  • Thankfully, she was able to finish cooking it well, and the taste of the food she made was not unusual, such as bland or salty.
  • Not long after, the two of them started eating in silence. To be precise, it was Dhea who felt very awkward, while Hannan looked normal.
  • "Hannan, do you want coffee or tea?" Dhea offered as she was washing all the dishes they both used earlier.
  • "Later," said Hannan.
  • "Later?" Dhea asked not understanding because that means, Hannan will still be here longer.
  • "Yes Dhea, later," replied Hannan.
  • That man stood up and approached Dhea after seeing Dhea nodding her head and looking back at the dishwasher.
  • "Dhea," Hannan called right into Dhea's ear, which made that girl wince. "Are you just offering me tea or coffee?"
  • "Um… what do you mean?" Dhea asked not understanding because her brain seemed to suddenly go blank while rinsing the last plate.
  • "Don't you want to offer me another one?" asked Hannan back.
  • Dhea tightened her grip on the plate she was holding, and then placed it slowly on the shelf, before turning around and looking up at Hannan.
  • "Hannan, what are you doing? Why are you so close to me?"
  • Dhea tried to push Hannan's chest, but that man didn't budge. Hannan was grinning and it certainly made Dhea shiver.
  • "Answer my question Dhea."
  • "What? What do you offer?”
  • "Are you sure you don't understand?" Dhea nodded her head several times because she didn't understand. "Offer us to spend a hot night trying one or two from your sex toy collection."
