Chapter 12

  • I was immersed at work throughout that morning and had only paused to go down to the cafeteria for lunch after which I had come upstairs to continue with work.
  • The moment I resumed I had logged in to check the latest news on the contract with Phillip Norman. It seemed he was experiencing some hassles with the company he stole from me and then to spite me he had decided to use my ex as a revenge mechanism. What does he stand to gain? For all I know, it was a waste of time because I wasn't moved one bit. Just like he failed with Saskatoon so will this fail too.
  • I don't always fight back immediately because I know my strength and how good I am. Most times when any of my competitors stole a client under my nose, I relaxed and watched the game play out.
  • Most of the time, we meet at the casinos to gamble_ not as CEOs and business rivals, but as friends. This gives me privy to every one of their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Soon I will have my client back. I smiled, relaxing on the swing chair. I intertwined my hands deep in thought.
  • Timothy sauntered in with a file, a hint of a smile on his face.
