Chapter 2 Vineyard with Diana
- "Are you prepared to help me grow grapes? Don't worry, I'll show you the appropriate way to pick grapes," Diana assured.
- Valerie seemed content, apparently, life in the ancient Mansion is not as horrible as she had imagined.
- She initially feared that she would have to live alone herself in the large room while the other maids remained in the pavilion's back room.
- the most important thing is that she can still stay here and not sleep on the street because of a lack of money, even though she occasionally hears footsteps at night, especially during the full moon.
- Her mother never even told her about the vineyard, so who would have imagined that moving into this old mansion would make her the only heir to the Dimitri family fortune?
- She recalled as a young girl sitting by the fire with her grandfather and hearing tales about the terrifying demon king who could fulfill any request as long as he stipulated that the 400th lady become his bride.
- Although the legend has persisted over time, to her it is merely an old fairy tale.
- It was a pretty entertaining fairy tale, but how could the demon lord marry a human?
- "Valerie, have you heard what I stated about your previous daydreaming?" ask Diana
- Diana touched Valerie's shoulder, which caused her to gasp in surprise. Valerie then grabbed the wine basket, grinned widely, and started walking towards the plantation.
- They passed other grape pickers sometimes and introduced Valerie as the descendant of a renowned winery and plantation in the Winds village.
- Everyone regarded the girl with curiosity, and some even began to murmur as if they were trying to hide something.
- "I want to know why they are staring at me in that wa, they appear to be concealing the reality from me, Was there anything earlier than this?" inquired Valerie
- Diana grinned as she shook her head. There's no escaping the fact,
- "perhaps your assumption is correct given your aunt and uncle's tragically sudden deaths..even his son Peter Dimitri only briefly attended the funeral before they left and went back to town" she said
- "Although we used to be close, my relationship with Peter is not very good because he got a good job in the city but he is too arrogant and doesn't want to recognize me as his family.
- "I am very disappointed with it but after I know the reason he hates me, even though we used to be close, I finally realized why he hates me," Valerie said.
- "you are the lone heir to this immense riches, seems to effect Peter's feelings, which is why he doesn't like you." said her
- Diana's comments made Valerie chuckle, and they continued to work until their baskets were filled with grapes.
- After Valerie chuckled at Diana's remarks, they continued working until their baskets were overflowing with grapes.
- In spite of the fact that it was already noon, they hurried to get the grapes into the factory.
- Valerie appeared pleased to be witnessing the production of the Dimitri family's well-known wine.
- Diana escorted the girl to the main home for lunch and said, "Monica has made your food; you go back to the main house; leave the basket of grapes here, Mr. Alonso, who takes care of everything."
- Monica spoke softly in Diana's ear as she returned to the kitchen to wash and clean the leftovers.
- The girl complimented Miss Valerie, saying,
- "Miss Valerie is very beautiful, her complexion glows like the dawn light...she has enticing golden hair and her eyes are like hazelnuts."
- Valerie is really lovely, and even as she runs, the scent of roses appears to be all around her, she nodded in agreement.
- Peter and Valerie are close, and Valerie is smart and has a cute smile. However, Peter's attitude changes when he learns that the heir to the Dimitri family fortune can only be given by the female side, and he even decides to study outside the city to avoid his parents.
- Diana looked at Valerie, who appeared to be enjoying her lunch, and then turned to her father, who was disappointed with the Dimitri family rules that were not in his favor.
- Valerie was holding an empty glass, so Diana walked over and filled it with grape juice.
- "How do you appreciate the meals that Monica prepares?" She asked as she sat across from Valerie on a stool.
- The female nods.
- "Oh, I neglected to ask you a question," said the girl
- Diana gave her a stern look. "Say," Diana ended.
- "Have you ever heard walking shoes in this mansion at night? I even heard footsteps entering my room, and it sounded like a voice calling me, my beloved bride" Valerie inquired sincerely.
- Even when Diana woke up in the middle of the night and was about to go to the kitchen to turn on the light, she didn't feel anything strange. Diana scowled because she had lived in this mansion all this time and had never heard any noises at night.
- Despite the fact that this mansion was a very large, old house, and even the grape pickers frequently held parties in the pavilion till morning, I believe Diana, she had never heard of this from Valerie. This large home is not ominous.
- "Do you know that I've worked here for 25 years and I've never heard a sound in this house? Despite being quite old and large, nothing strange has ever occurred here, perhaps you were just having a bad dream?" return to Diana
- Valeri shaking her head,
- "I have dreams every night, and they all seem real, I even smell roses in my dreams, and someone is touching my hair, and he even kisses my lips, and I feel cold lips touch mine." said Valeri.
- Diana was baffled, made more so by the fact that she had never before listened to anything in this place.
