Chapter 122 On The Way To The Ball

  • For a while, I felt better and I truly believed Aiden’s words. So instead of wallowing in pain and grief over nothing. I had breakfast and decided to go with the flow and have a little faith in the man I married. I had a shower and immediately after that, I was surrounded by people. While one took care of my nails, the others took care of my hair. It took a while and it made me think back to my wedding day. I smiled at myself at the memories and realised that I had no regrets at all. After everything, I believed that I was right at where I was supposed to be. When they were done, others came in and did my makeup and that was even more exhausting. Aiden and Alden were right in the room and they were watching everything like the supervisors they were. I felt even sorry for them. The owners of A&A were babysitting me and probably doing the jobs meant for lower staff because my husband was domineering but that didn’t mean that I didn’t feel good about it. Alden one time left but Aiden remained behind and watched me intently. He took his assignment really seriously.
  • When the makeup was done, it was already late and it was time to get dressed. Just in time, Alden returned and brought in the dresses of the evening. I gaped at the gowns and for a moment, I thought that I was going for a movie premier instead or the Met Gala. But that thought had been pushed away and I was forced to put it on in front of them. they were the designers after all and it must have been done a lot of times, but I was no model so it still felt awkward to do that in front of them. I didn’t take off my towel completely till I was sure the important part of my body had been covered before I slid off me. One of the twins came along and helped me with the zipper and by the time I was done, I felt like a princess ready for her prince. I wore my jewellery, my shoes and gaped at the transforming look I had. My makeup was light, nude and it was truly me with my blue eyes almost glowing, it made the red dress eye-catching.
  • When I was done, the twins were beaming at themselves and they left immediately after. I remained in my room and suddenly remembered the feeling I had on my wedding day. Just as I was waiting, I had waited like that nervously back then. I was happy for a moment, I was excited and I could only imagine the night but I suddenly felt strange. Would Jordan really come? Before I could go deep into that thought, the twins came back into the room all dressed up for the same occasion. With perfect matching glasses, similar tuxedo, only one had white with a dark shirt within and black pants, and the other had blue, black shirt within and black pants. They looked dashing, so dashing, I could swear that I would have fallen for them if I was not married yet.
