Chapter 4
- FVCK UP LOVE
- CHAPTER FOUR
- Emery Austin's POV
- I went home after my first encounter with Robi and his girlfriend. It's now five o'clock in the afternoon, so I'll have to wait several hours before I can resume my normal nightlife routine.I am fond of barhopping and meeting different guys. It has been my routine since I started living independently.
- I sat on the couch to take some rest. I was about to grab my phone when the doorbell rang. I didn’t order any food, so who is this anyway?
- I walked towards the door to open it, but I immediately closed it upon seeing who was outside my room. What is he doing here? As far as I am concerned, I don’t have any unfinished business with that delicate guy. We settled it yesterday, right? The consequences of the golden rule were already settled.
- He pressed the bell again. I rolled my eyes. If he will be caught on the building’s camera, maybe they will presume that there is something wrong again and I can’t manage to face any hindrances for my scheduled bar hopping tonight. And so I opened the door again.
- "What?" I asked.
- "Will you let me in?" he answered me with another question. I rolled my eyes for the nth time. He looks like garbage. So irritating.
- "Come inside." I said.
- Why did I let him in?
- "What do you need?"
- "I am just checking on you."
- "Checking, because?" I am just wondering where he is getting his confidence. It seems like he has a lot of stored confidence because he is not ashamed of showing his face to me over and over again.
- "Alright, I will be straight to the point, Emery. I want to see you."
- I raised my brow.
- "See me, because?"
- "Why do you have a lot of questions? I told you yesterday that I have a crush on you, right?"
- "Crush on you, my feet. You may now leave."
- "But Emery..."
- "Do I have to drag you outside?"
- "Golden rule, Emery."
- "Arghhhh! Fine! You can stay here, but just until eight in the evening!"
- "Why?"
- "Just be thankful because I let you stay here."
- Then I leave him in the living area. I went to the kitchen to get some water. That delicate guy is really getting into my nerves!
- I threw a deadly stare at the wall clock. Time must pass quickly.
- I went back to the living area. The delicate guy is busy scanning my stuff. I just didn’t say even a single word because I don’t want to talk to him.
- I forced myself to take a nap, just like what I did the moment we were locked in a room last night.
- I woke up around eight thirty in the evening. I roamed around. Good thing he had already left.
- I just ate some dinner, took a quick shower, and prepared myself.
- After some time, I head straight to my first destination: the xxxx bar.
- There are a lot more people that are present here tonight than usual. I went to the counter to order my favorite drink. I occupied the vacant stool at the center.
- "Someone was looking for you last night, Emery." the bartender said.
- Just like at school, I am also popular at this place. Who would have not known me when everything I do is beyond what is right, right?
- "Who?" I asked the bartender.
- "Jae."
- And speaking of Jae, he is here. Beside me. Oh well, I did not see him coming.
- "Hi, I missed you." he said while smiling.
- I smiled back. Did he miss me or miss what happened the last time we shared ourselves together?
- "Can I join you?" he asked.
- "Of course," I said, then he occupied the seat beside me.
- We were in the middle of our naughty conversation when I noticed a familiar face sitting not so far away from us. I paused for a while then narrowed my eyes.
- "Delicate guy?" I said, loud enough to attract the attention of the guy sitting in a distance.
- He looked towards different directions, trying to avoid me, trying to avoid us.
- I grabbed Jae’s hand.
- "Let’s drink somewhere else." I said while leading him outside the bar.
- We used his car. We have decided to go to another bar nearby. But along the way, we suddenly stopped when we noticed someone was following us.
- I went to the car to check who the hell he or she was.
- I was shocked in a way to see that delicate guy. He is the one who is driving the car that’s following us. What does he think he is doing?
- "Explain," I commanded.
- But he is just staring at me. Jae moved closer to him.
- "Who are you?"
- "Cliff Piers Sandoval," he casually answered.
- So his name is Cliff. This is the first time I have known his name. All this time I’ve been calling him "delicate guy."
- "What do you need,Cliff?" Jae continued asking.
- "I need Emery."
- I closed my eyes. Such a shame we are having a conversation with this Cliff freak.
- I held Jae’s hand, but before we finally left, I warned Cliff not to follow us again or else I would punch his face.
- It was a good thing he didn’t follow us. Such a creepy guy. So right from the condominium unit, he followed me up to the bar? Unbelievable!
- We decided to go to Jae’s place. I am not in the mood to continue my barhopping. That freaky guy ruined it.
- "Do you know him, Emery?" Jae asked while driving.
- "A freak neighbor."
- He just nodded.
- When we got into his place, he immediately prepared something to eat and of course, we continued to drink.
- We have talked about a lot of things. From the non-sense one up to the serious one.
- It was nearly two in the morning when we realized that we had drunk too much.
- I closed my eyes. Oh look, I still have a class tomorrow and I may end up going to school again with a hangover.
- I occupied the couch in the living room. It felt like the world was literally spinning, an indication that I had to stop and sleep.
- Being hindered from a deep sleep, I felt someone was breathing next to my neck. A familiar gesture pulled me into a lustful trap.
- I saw Jae as I slightly opened my eyes. He is now undressing me.
- This is exactly what happened to us the last time we met.
- He carried me all the way to his bed. My head still hurts, but my body is enjoying what is going on between me and this handsome guy.
- He planted kisses on my body. Kisses are supposedly the sweetest, but it seems like something is missing.
- I was comforted by his tight embrace, but it seems like it lacks the warmth I have been longing for.
- Skin to skin, might be the closest, but nevertheless, I am still far from what my being is asking for.
- We both stopped upon reaching the peak. We were both chasing our breath and in his arms, I fell asleep.
- A light that is waking me up... my eyes slowly opened as I realized that the sun is finally up.
- I looked at the clock. Oh shoot! I am running late again.
- I immediately gathered all my clothes. My head is still hurting, but I have to attend my class. It’s for my favorite professor anyway.
- "Good morning..." Jae greeted me.
- "Good morning," I said back. I am not used to this. Maybe I am just allergic to any form of attachment. I should have not slept here after all.
