• Breakfast is filled with endless charter as Grandmother grills Ariana for information about her and our relationship. Ariana doesn't give out much but she looks happy talking to her. Actually, I am left out of the talk on the table, which is a relief. I don't think I fit in this girl's talk. Melinda brings a coffee pot and cups to the table. She places them there and leaves quietly. I pour myself some and watch, fascinated by the conversation going on. They are talking about college. I have never heard grandma talk about her college days. She is much of a story teller but I never heard about her college experience. When I prepare myself to give the conversation a sneaky ear, my phone rings. I pick it up and excuse myself from the ladies.
• Marcus has been calling me all day about the ship inspector we requested from the East. He is an expert in the field as has twenty years of experience. He will be the perfect man for this job and will help coordinate with the staff for our new project.
