Chapter 26 Who Came For Cara?

• The next morning, Keith woke up at the continuous barking of Milo. He groaned sitting on the bed and headed out to see what was wrong with him so early in the morning. As soon as he opened the door to his room, Milo continued to bark at him. “Hey! Shh… what’s wrong with you?” He bent on his knees and patted his back, but the brown guy was restless.
• He rushed back to Cara’s room and Keith knitted his eyebrows, watching his action. He stood back on his feet and followed him inside the room, only to find it empty. The phone was lying on the leisurely and his eyes swept inside the room, and it was clean. Cara’s stuff or suitcases were gone. He checked the closet, and it was empty as well.
• “She is gone!” He muttered in a low voice and his eyes drifted to the new shoes he purchased for her. Keith quietly stepped out of the room and walked into the kitchen to fetch a glass of water when he found his breakfast in the refrigerator. He ignored it, taking out a water bottle and his eye travelled to the kitchen island, where he saw some cash he had given her along with the grocery bill.
