Chapter 1 Prologue

• In a blink of an eye, Cara Silencio lost everything in her life. Her relatives kicked her out at the young age of eighteen and since then she had been working diligently to make a place for herself in the world. During her zest to survive the world where she could call no one as her own, she met Keith Wilson, the charming police officer, whom she truly believed was her soulmate that God assigned to ward off the demons of her past.

• “Be my mistress for six months.” Aries had an evil smirk plastered on his thin lips. “I’ll reward you ten times more than what you earn at the club stripping your clothes off!”
• “No way! You’re going to marry my step-sister soon. I will never agree to this, Aries Grayson!” Cara stated firmly.
• Aries had an enigmatic glint in his eyes as he stared into her hazel eyes. “What if I expose your secrets to the world?” He lifted an eyebrow, and her heart picked a race. Beads of cold sweat appeared on her forehead.
• “You won’t!” Cara struggled to play unaffected under his intimidating gaze on her. “Your ambition to rule the business world would be shattered if you expose me.” It was her time to smirk, but Aries’s next sentence quickly wiped it off her lips.
• “What if I kill your dog? The only family you have, huh?” Aries snickered as he watches her face turning white as a sheet of paper.
• “Aries, why are you doing this to me? I never wronged you!” Her tone softened and tears welled up in her eyes. “Please. let me go!” She begged at last.
• “You’ve sparked my interest, Cara Mia! And I won’t stop until I solve this mystery!” He declared in a deep voice and Cara lowered her head, wiping a lone tear that trickled down her cheek.
• “You’ve only one choice. Submit to me!” Aries commanded. Cara glanced up at him, her gloomy hazel eyes met with intriguing grey eyes.
