Chapter 17 Can't Lose You

• Xander was standing on the balcony of his room smoking a cigarette, and blowing smoke into the air. His eyes were straight ahead. Xander's cold and resolute expression seemed to be messed up by the thing that was bothering him.
• Xander took a sip of whiskey and closed his eyes briefly. Truly, Xander never thought that his anger had devoured him to the point of touching Audrey for the umpteenth time. Xander couldn't understand why he had gone overboard like this.
• Xander swallowed the cigarette butt into the ashtray. Then the man turned, and was about to enter the room—where Audrey was still asleep after their heated war.
