Chapter 14 The Wounded

• Rain was sleeping peacefully, his handsome face lay still on my pillow facing the other way. His muscular back was full on display for me to feast on, his ass was looking deliciously inviting.
• I didn't know that I could feel so strongly about someone ever again, the realization scared me. It happened once and it didn't end well for me, but I couldn't seem to let him go. And every time he tried to end his life, he wounded my heart as if I had failed him. As if his feeling for his mate was stronger, and I didn't mean anything to him.
