Chapter 16 THE TORMENT

• The Roberts family got home, sullen and drenched in sorrow. Mya alighted from the car and hurriedly dashed off to her room in tears.
• "Mya? Mya? Mya!", Mrs Amy called in tears but she faded into the house without a word nor turning back. Mr Roberts held Amy with a meaningful look, "Let her be for now, Amy. She'll soon come around". She stared at his face with teary eyes and nodded. Kelvin held her hand and gently caressed it.
• "Let's get in now ", said Roberts, leading Amy and Kelvin towards the door. Laura strolled behind them sobbing.
