Chapter 4 SAVE ME

  • [ At The Choice Bar ]
  • April was back to her part time job as a bartender. She pouted her lips as she remembered what her Mum said to her. "How could she tell her daughter to get married just because i couldn't get a job? That's too harsh." She whined.
  • She served drinks to the customers and took new orders there she saw the quack fortune teller who had told her yesterday was her lucky day. Lucky day indeed, she was almost killed yesterday and still didn't get a job despite paying him two thousand dollar. Mandy forced her to pay the bill assuring her that she would really get the job. "My two thousand dollar, i must collect my money back."
  • Forgetting that she had other customers to attend to, she marched forward to the fortune teller and grabbed him by his collar. "Hey, do you remember me? You told me yesterday was my lucky day, you lied to me. My two thousand dollar, give me back my money, you bastard!"
  • The fortune teller pushed her. "Hey, don't try to blame me for your failure." He said as he cursed under his breathe.
  • "What?" April clenched her fist as she was getting really angry.
  • "You've been failing because of the bad energy surrounding you that is why you've been unable to get a job. You, you're full of bad lucks, you're cursed!" He yelled attracting more crowd towards them, the customers began to murmur.
  • April stood still, his words, his words were like she had just been poured a bucket of cold water. That was when it all dawned on her, she was full of bad lucks, she was cursed. It all make sense now, it all make sense. The reason her Grandma gave her this goddamned bracelet was all to drive away the bad energy around her and the reason she hadn't been able to get a job was all because she was cursed, the reason why things had always been difficult for her was all because she was cursed. She laughed, a laughter filled with so much sorrow and bitterness. She shook her head as she walked out of the bar.
  • She just wanted to be alone, she just wanted to be far away from everyone. She touched her chest as they ache, they ache so much. Why was her life this way? Why was her life so different? What on earth did she do wrong? Who on earth did she offend? She just wanted.............she just wanted a normal life, was it too much for her to ask?
  • She held her chest as she cried bitterly. "Why is my life this way? I hate this life." Those feelings she had always kept hidden in her heart, those times she had gotten rejected, those times she had acted like she was fine, those times she had always acted like it didn't get to her - it was all acting. She felt hurt, she was sad, she was broken but she had told herself it would be fine as long as she was living, it would be fine but now she was starting to doubt if it would really be fine for her. She sighed as more tears roll down her eyes.
  • "It's painful, right?" She heard a deep masculine voice said beside her. April lifted her head to look at him. He was wearing a hoodie and she was unable to see his face clearly because of the tears that were still rolling down.
  • April wiped her tears then she asked. "Who are you?"
  • The man who didn't spare her a glance, pulled down his hoodie then he turned to face her. He looked..........he looked breathtaking. She had never seen anyone as good looking as him but then.............he had red eyes. April subconsciously moved back when she saw his claws. This man standing in front of her was definitely not human.
  • He walked closer to April and touched her face so gently.
  • April heard the warning bell ringing loud in her head, warning her to run away from this dangerously breathtaking man but her entire body wasn't responding. It was as if he had casted a spell on her, his gentle touch immobilized her entire being. She just stood still staring into those red bloodlust eyes but her mouth managed to speak. "W..w..Who are you?" She stammered.
  • "Me?" He paused for a moment before answering. "I'm here to kill you." He said as his lips curled into a smirk and before April could process the word he just uttered in her head, he had already gripped her neck, strangling her.
  • April whimpered in pain as she struggled to free herself from his grip. Tears roll down her cheek as she suddenly remembered how she interviewed for 54 companies but got accepted by none. She remembered her mum who didn't have enough but would always give her an allowance then she remembered her Grandma, her first friend. She remembered her bestfriend Mandy, who was always there to encourage her whenever she was falling. More tears welled her eyes as she remembered the people she loved the most. When she was trapped in the forest of time, when nothing seemed to be working for her, they were right behind her but now it seems she wouldn't be able to see those faces anymore. Was this how she was going to die? She was only twenty five. She felt it, she felt herself slowly dying, slowly lost in the dark.
  • Now that she was dying, she suddenly remembered him, that Doctor who had saved her when she was young. That Doctor whose pinky finger she held unto telling him to save her. She couldn't even remember how he looked like but she wished he was here, she wished he was here to save her.
  • "Save me." She said as she slowly lose consciousness.
