Chapter 23 Cursed

• Walter's POV
• "Dave, I know...just keep someone posted at the clinic, she should be fine, I'm just glad we found out about this earlier before anything happens," I told him in confidence, while inside I note to myself to pick her up earlier today and explain Flo about my conversation with Dave. She needed to understand the urgency of the situation, she needs to be more careful of her surroundings. 
• But that day I was buried with work, I wasn't able to get out of my office earlier. Until I received that dreaded phone call from Gabby, I knew instantly that something had happened to Florence. I was parking my car at the clinic's parking lot when she told me that Florence was gone, nowhere to be seen. I felt my body went cold, I couldn't think and move, I feel like I was torn, my heart shattered to pieces. This was greater than what I've ever experienced. I couldn't even curse at my own destiny.
