Chapter 7

• Luca was a little embarrassed. He had never had sex with anyone like that before. What was he doing? She works for him. Reese got out of bed.
• “Do you mind if I fill the tub,” she asks.
• “No,” he says. He was slightly confused. She had just blown his mind and she was so calm. She filled the tub and promptly got in. She hadn’t said a word since he exploded inside her.
• “Can I join you,” he asked.
• “Sure, Can you bring me one of those beers?” she asked.
• “I have wine,” he says.
• “Beer is fine,” she says.
• Luca gets her a beer and gets in the tub with her.
• “Reese,” he says.
• “Luca,” she responds.
• “I have never slept with one of my employees,” he says.
• “Luca, I will not cause you any trouble. I promise. We had fun. We can have more fun,” she says.
• “Sorry I just don’t normally do this kind of thing,” Luca says.
• “I thought these rooms weren’t for sex,” Reese says.
• “This is the only room with a bed. I have slept in here when I worked late. But it's never been used for sex before,” he says.
• “So instead of worrying about what tomorrow holds, why don’t you come here and drink a beer with me,” Reese says.
• The next morning Luca dropped Reese off at her apartment. She has been quiet on the ride to her apartment. “Take the morning off. I need you to work tonight at the studio. Kat is insistent that you be there when she films tonight. Your car was delivered yesterday and you have a gas card. If you need anything let me know,” Luca says.
• “Thank you, sir,” she says.
• “Are you okay, Reese,” Luca asks.
• “Yes, sir,” Reese says. She kisses Luca on the cheek and exits the car.
• Reese hurries up the stairs to her apartment. She quickly unlocks the door and rushes for the bathroom. “I need a shower,” she says. Reese can’t get her clothes on quickly enough. She turns the water on hot and stands in the shower. “What the hell was I thinking? He probably thinks I am a crazy slut,” she says.
• Reese washes her body off quickly. She hears a rumble in her apartment. She gets out of the shower and gets dressed as quickly as she undressed to get in the shower.
• “Hello sister,” she hears as she enters the bedroom. “Roman,” she says.
• “You were out late,” Roman says. “Yes. I was,” Reese says.
• “Did you tell him?” Roman asks her.
• “Tell who?” Reese responds.
• “That guy you were with last night,” Roman asks.
• “I was with my boss. I was working,” Reese responds. “Sister, you cannot lie to me and you know it,” Roman says.
• “No. I didn’t tell him. I don’t know if I plan to see him again,” she says.
• “I brought you breakfast,” Roman says.
• Roman grabs a glass and pours Reese a glass of blood.
• “Sister, be careful. You aren’t a human anymore,” Roman says.
• “I know,” she says. When she turns around Roman is gone. “Fuck,” she says. Reese puts on PJ’s and crawls into bed. She needs to sleep before she goes back to work.
• Luca goes by his house to freshen up. “Maybe I should not go into the office today. I could work tonight with Reese,” he says. Luca undresses. As he looks at himself in the mirror he sees bites all over him. “She was wild,” he says. Luca turns on the shower and steps in. “I don’t feel so good,” he says. Luca faints. Roman enters Luca’s bathroom. “My stupid sister,” he says.
• “She knows better than to bite a human this many times,” Roman says. He drags Luca to his bedroom.
