Chapter 8 Life Is Not Fair

  • This is ridiculous, so fucking stupid," Storm thought as he sat down with the company's shareholders. How could he just sit there and fold his arms all day, listening to this old men babbling?
  • "As I have stated, this company is fantastic, but it requires a strong leader to keep it afloat. And the reason we've all convened here today is because of one person and it concerns the company as well. So let's just talk about it and figure out what we're going to do. 'Am I correct, everyone?' Mr Kim, one of the stockholders, stated.
  • 'Yes,' they all answered at the same time.
  • 'OK, let's talk about it.' This is why we came here,' Storm's father explained.
  • Mr Kim said, clearing his throat. 'Could you please remove Henry as the CEO of the third branch?'
  • When they heard what he said, everyone turned to look at Henry. Storm knew what was going to happen, but he didn't say anything and just reclined on the chair, his legs crossed across each other and his cheek resting on his fisted hand. Storm was hoping for a good laugh; he knew it was going to happen and couldn't wait to see how it would turn out.
  • Henry was furious; how could this stupid old man have the audacity to suggest that he be removed? 'How come, Mr Kim?' Why do you want to get rid of me from the firm I worked so hard to develop...' Mr Kim laughed. 'To develop what, exactly?' Was it the clients we lost, or the way you treat them?' Mr. Kim said.
  • 'What does that mean, the way I treated them?' Henry shook his head and looked at Mr Kim.
  • 'There have been many allegations that you've been wasting money, mistreating people, and speaking harshly to your clients, especially those who wish to collaborate with you,' Mr Kim continued as he picked up and flung a file at Henry. 'That's the proof, with you?' Mr Kim said as he began tapping his shoe on the floor.
  • 'You're an adult, a married man, and you still act like a child. I assumed you'd be able to do better than this.' Mr Andrew, another shareholder in the company said.
  • Henry was displeased with what was going on. He opened the files and closely examined them; there were even images in them, proving that anything Mr Kim was claiming was correct. That also implies that he was being watched and observed, and that the person who took these images was fully aware of what he was doing. He was determined to track down and kill that individual, no matter how long it took. He will never, ever allow this to happen again. He will never forget that, and he must assassinate the perpetrator.
  • 'Have you said everything you want to say, Henry?' Mr Kim took a serious look at Henry and stated.
  • 'I didn't...'
  • 'There's no need to dispute it. Has everyone seen the evidence?' Mr. Andrew stated.
  • 'Yes,' they all answered at the same time.
  • 'It's time for him to leave the firm.' 'I've had enough of his idiotic behavior.' Mr Eric also spoke up.
  • He got screwed because he wasn't careful, and now they've caught him and want him removed from his seat. This is horrible; what will he tell his wife, his friends, and how they perceive him now that he has boasted that he will never relinquish power and will always be at the top?
  • He made the decision to seek help from his father. Maybe, just maybe, he'll assist him persuade the company's foolish shareholders to let him stay.
  • 'You can't take me out of there; all my hard work and sweat is invested in that enterprise.' In a fit of rage, Henry hurled the files on the floor, scattering them.
  • 'You're not saying anything, Father. Did you tell me to come to Germany to be fired or to come up with ideas on how to make the company much better in the future?' Henry yelled. He was humiliated; how could they do this to him? he wondered. This was a travesty.
  • 'You still have the audacity to yell here, don't you have even a smidgeon of manners in you?' Mr. Kim yelled back at him.
  • 'Manners.' He snorted. 'If you were in my shoes, you wouldn't be this calm. How can you take something that belongs to me? I've been managing that company and trying to make it a better one, and now you're taking it away from me. You're telling me you heard rumors and are displaying a lot of crap. I'm not going to accept this.' He clenched his teeth and looked at them all. He has worked hard for this company, doing everything he can to impress the shareholders so that they will choose him as it's leader one day. He intends to wipe them out once he becomes their leader. Now that his scheme had failed, he was in deep trouble. What is he going to do? He would never let this happen, he would never let it slide. He can kill them, dispose of their bodies in the river, and clean up his tracks.
  • Nobody will ever know. How will they realize when they aren't as smart as he is?
  • 'Well, you have to accept it.' Mr Richard blurted out of nowhere.
  • In a state of shock. 'Father?'
  • Then Andrew burst out laughing, and Eric and Mr Kim joined in, along with three other shareholders, and Storm merely smirked.
  • 'I think you should listen to them, Brother.' Jasper didn't plan to join the others in laughter, but the expression on his elder brother's face was amusing enough for him to do so.
  • 'Listen to them, eh. It's because you're not the one being ejected from your seat.' Henry shook his head and stared at Jasper. 'You are not in my position?'
  • 'I understand how you feel,' Jasper said trying to persuade him.
  • 'No, you don't. He insisted.
  • 'You only think of yourself?'
  • 'I don't think simply of myself, Henry. You're making a commotion here.' Jasper shrugged as he stated the obvious.
  • 'I'm making a commotion, huh?' I'm the first son in the family; you were meant to give me the first branch, but you gave it to Storm,' Henry yelled as he turned to his father while pointing his finger at Storm and Ignoring Jasper.
  • Storm has been anticipating this moment for a long time.
  • 'I've been keeping silent, bearing everything, and letting someone older than me take what is mine.' And now that I've decided to manage what you've given me, you've decided to take that as well?' He burst out laughing. 'Why don't you remove Storm from the company as well?' At the very least, I'm not the only one who has changed and is mistreating others?' He smiled devilishly.
  • 'But, at least he's not like you. He's harsh but he makes more money and client into the company. So why, should we remove someone like that?' Mr Eric said, he was enjoying this.
  • 'You're a fucking...'
  • 'Brother,' Jasper yelled. He doesn't like where this is going. He stood up from his seat because he knew if he remained silent, it would appear like he is siding with his brother, which he does not want. He also aspires to be the shareholder's leader one day, which is why he does everything he can to win their favor and delight them. Because he understands that if he does anything to harm the company's reputation, they will fire him without hesitation as well.
  • He also understands that his brother is telling the truth. He is correct. What they're doing is unjust, but he lacks the courage to say so. After all, his brother had been correct. He just thinks about himself and his family. He married young and had children in order to make the corporation think he was responsible. Now that his brother is out of the way, who will be the new CEO of the third branch?
  • 'No, just shut up.' Henry yelled fiercely at Jasper before turning to face Storm. 'If I'm leaving the company, do you have to get rid of Storm as well?' Henry smirked, waiting for Storm's reaction. Everyone was waiting for his reaction. Was he going to become enraged or remain silent?
  • 'Why are you people so quiet? I'm not leaving unless you also remove Storm.' 'I hope you heard me correctly?' He stated this. 'He has no right to be the CEO of that company; he's only twenty-five, and I'm an adult who knows what I'm doing?' Richard chimed in.
  • 'Will you please stop talking?' He screamed in rage. He'd had enough of it all; his patience had already run out.
  • 'Can you see how you're disgracing yourself by keeping your filthy mouth open, instead of keeping it shut?' Richard gave the order, then turned to face the shareholders and apologized for the trouble. Except for Jasper, they all stood up.
  • 'We'll be leaving now, but make sure you train this man here because he's still a child?' Mr Kim mocked and laughed.
  • 'How can someone like him be our leader in the future, we will all be ruined,' Mr Andrew remarked as he walked alongside Kim.
  • 'Why don't you just put a chain around his neck and make sure no one unleashes him?' Mr Eric laughed and went away, then he came to a halt and glanced at Storm.
  • 'Are you going to France today?' He gave him a friendly smile.
  • 'Yes, I have a flight in roughly three hours,' Storm responded.
  • 'You're going to meet with the Sky Company, right?'
  • 'They want to cooperate with us, and they kindly asked to see me,' he said. Storm responded with a nod.
  • 'Can I accompany you, Storm?' At the very least, I'd like to meet them.' Jasper inquired cheerfully.
  • 'No, you can't follow me, and you have a position at your company,' he say. Storm stated that he did not want Jasper to accompany him. He understands his motives for accompanying him there. Eric took a step closer, wrapped his left arm around Storm's shoulder, and signaled for them to come outside and discuss.
  • 'Did you see how you humiliated yourself in front of them?' Richard was enraged.
  • 'However, father. Why are you people taking Storm's side, is it ...'
  • 'Shut up?' And their father slapped him across the face. 'The next time you try this, you'll have only yourself to blame. What a spoiled brat. You've been removed from your seat as a result of your dumb behavior, and you won't be able to return. And you should be embarrassed to compare yourself to Storm?'
  • Their father stormed out of the office, followed by Jasper, leaving only Henry standing there with his hand still on his cheek, the same spot his father smacked him.
  • He will not let them get away with it; he will make them pay.
  • He will exact his vengeance and make those old cagos, especially Storm, pay for what they did to him. He silently pledged and struck the table with his fisted hand in rage, blood spilling from it.
  • HE WILL MAKE THEM PAY.
  • Storm was fatigued as he walked back from the restaurant. Eric knew how to put someone under pressure; He was a pleasant and easygoing person. He enjoys talking with Storm and considers him a buddy as well as Storm. The young guy, like his father, was a stockholder. His father was a stockholder before he died, and he took over for him. Storm liked him at first, but the others were against him. because he was young, but as time passed, people grew to accept him and recognize that, while he was young, he was also intelligent and mature.
  • Eric liked Storm and considers him to be his age match.
  • They get along so much better than the old men. As soon as he got close to his room door at the hotel where he was staying. He took out his keys, opened the door, and stepped inside. He was taken aback when he saw something he shouldn't have seen.
