Chapter 64
- A hateful, familiar figure pushed through the mass of people, and I gulped at Samuel. He was wearing a black long jacket and looked disheveled and unkempt. Where did he show up from? He was panting so hard that from this distance he looked like an enraged predator stalking his prey. I shivered at the vicious glares that hit me from all sides. Were they all predators that wanted to rip me to shreds? I had no way out. The deepest sense of hopelessness filled me to the brim, suffocating me.
