Chapter 37
- Glancing at the clock on the nightstand, I pursed my lips. It had been nearly two hours after Chester and I separated. I was restless, and the tips on my toes begged me to get out of my bed and save my friend. My chest did too. Only if I knew what had really happened before the gas was leaked— I jumped on my feet and took a deep breath to calm my racing chest. I could do just that!
- Getting to the hidden parts under the boys’ dorm was like a blur to me. I had ignored all the people giving me weird looks and was kind of smug I was J’s girlfriend. Nobody dared attack me or ask me any weird questions anymore. I was untouchable. My quick pace slowed down to casual walking when I realized where my impulsiveness wanted to lead me. Nowhere. I had no idea where the underground prison was. Crap!
- I fixed my eyes on the faraway door that led further into the floor and headed to it. I could find a map or something somewhere, right? I should’ve asked Chester! I glanced at my phone and the missing signal on its display. Well, that was a lost cause.
