Chapter 12 – Aella’S Trauma

• As they were driving back to the Enforcers’ Headquarters, Aella was reading the files. She then said, sounding somewhat puzzled, “There are only coincidences and suspicions. Some words were left in the air during a conversation that sounded like a threat, and the shadow of a Werewolf leaving the room where a body was found. What they have in common is that all the killings started to happen when their Pack’s Alphas and Lunas openly supported the clauses that your mother wanted to put in the Werewolf Registration. After a few Werewolves died, the Alphas and Lunas talked with the Half-Moon Alpha, and they got the feeling it was him that gave the order, because of what he said. Feelings and suspicions are not enough proof to go after them.”
• “No, but it is a start. It smells fishy, you know? The ones that died belonged to Packs that supported my mother. No other Pack was attacked, and most of the Packs that suffered attacks are on other countries, so that will make us travel there to investigate. For now, let’s see what Mister Allen Brooks says, and we will go from there.”
• “Yeah… Do you want to go see your mother afterwards? I… don’t know if I like that idea. We... we haven’t started anything yet… It will be as if… I am meeting the mother of my girlfriend for the first time… and you are not even my girlfriend...”
