Chapter 87 Forfeit

  • There was always one thing that I was terrified of as a kid: water. I was not a fan of swimming. When I was five years old, I was scared at the pit of darkness other people called the sea. I found it intimidating when my eyes scanned the clear, pure water to look more into the darkness down there. Other people would laugh it off and say it was the seaweed and others didn't care what was underneath them but as a kid, my mind was a land of imagination where dinosaurs existed and penguins flew.
  • Now, my fear was not the water anymore. It was losing Levy right after I lost everyone I loved. The feeling of abandonment would demolish my life right away. I couldn't stand another wave of pain anymore; I was too tired to breathe.
  • When I screamed as the driver tried to punch Levy with a knife, my hand automatically grasped the rifle before he could and shot his neck, I would have thrown up as the mush of blood oozed out of his nape but I was looking at Levy the entire time.
