Chapter 11 Affliction

• It took me a minute to realize that blood was mine. My eyes flickered to the area where I was shot, the bright red colour seeped into the water came from my upper arm, I could feel the bullet tearing through my skin. It was a moment of mesmerizing surrender. My eyes drooped as the water lifted its imaginary hands and dipped me under its cocoon.
• The definition of life came unexpectedly. One time, you felt that everything would be okay and the next time, you felt drained and out of it. It was a never-ending game of life and death. Flashbacks of my life ran through my eyes like a racy slideshow from the moment where I was held in my mother's arms as my eyes opened to life for the first time to my first kiss with Levy, to the burger joint that had me and my dad laughing at our stories, skipping to my hand in Levy's hand and ending to Levy's last smile before we went into the pool hand in hand.
• I closed my eyes, ending my hazy torment to the last final touch of Levy's arms.
