Chapter 23 Horrible Ones

• The next morning, King Lawson was on his way to the palace gates since he was scheduled to inspect the ongoing reconstruction of their walls on the third circle of the city. Before he could mount on his horse, he heard a woman’s voice calling out to him. Turning on his heels, he saw Lady Emily running as fast as she could while waving her hand.
• When she managed to approach him, she said, “M-M-My apologies… Y-Your Majesty…”
• “Catch your breath first before speaking,” King Lawson stated before shifting his attention to Vasmir. “Head there first.”
