• His mind went blank after the call. He didn't ask anything to Lucas, just a simple "Okay" and hung up. He hopped on his bike, rode as fast as he could to La Lune. His heart was racing, his face was warm, his jaw clenched. He took a deep breath, swallowed with a lump on his throat when he arrived.
• The place was dark, there was no one there. He approached the entrance, the door opened from the inside. Lucas greeted him with an uneasy look on his face, John stared him down, "Where is she?"
• "She's upstairs ... please, come in," he said politely.
