• Taliyah’s P.O.V.
• I explain that I have never worn heels in my life and I don’t want to fall flat on my ass on my first night out in a dress. Layna keeps giggling and Grandmother just laughs at me.
• Grandmother’s maid rushes out of the room and returns within seconds, she hands me another shoebox. I open it up to find a similar pair as Grandmother is holding, but these have a small heel and I pull them from the box with a smile on my face.
