- I hold on to Grandmother’s hand as we make our way back to the elevator and I hear Amand teasingly say “Princess, you could take the stairs.”
- “You take the damn stairs, Amand.” Is my response and without hesitation he opens the door that leads to the stairwell. Luckily Grandmother realizes that I had no control over it and she calls him back.
