Chapter 19
- I heard him growl again. Aside from the shivers from the cold, I noticed the rage in his voice. I was quivering from fear and cold; I had emptied the contents — if there were any — on him, and to worsen the case, the disgusting slimy substance smelled. I couldn’t tell what it reeked of, but it was pungent. He released my arm, and being totally weak and very lightheaded, I fell back on the bed. The force of the hit churned my stomach, and I quickly crawled to the bathroom and retched. I hated the feeling; it was almost as if I was dying. I was restless, uncomfortable, and completely down. I still had my head over the toilet seat; all my body still ached badly, and my eyes watered more. The position was not conducive; I wanted to go back to the bed, but I couldn’t. My stomach wouldn’t let me rest.
- "Get up"
- I tried to stand, but I fell back to my knees almost immediately.
