Chapter 27 Dark Weekend

• It is not Francis’ nature asking where people are and until what time will they be gone.. He never asked even Carrie those questions. For one thing, he has enough of things to keep him busy. Another thing, he didn’t see the need to. Women, in the past, had been always within reach whenever he wanted. He didn’t have to ask, someone always came. They were the ones always calling him.
• However, he wanted to call Carrie for dinner after the week’s work. He couldn’t reach her. In the beginning ,he didn’t wonder why. She must be with friends. Family maybe. ‘He forgot all about that and went with his driver. The following morning, he again called to ask something about the wedding planner ,again she is not within reach. And since it was like that since the past night, he couldn’t help but give it a thought. ‘Where could she have been to be out of reach for more than twelve hours?’
• Unexpectedly, he is feeling bit uneasy that he is not able to reach her when he wished to. He asked himself what is the worry all about? He didn’t why he should be worrying about her. Why?
