Chapter 22

• They arrived at Nate’s newly assigned village around noon and were glad to have at least a few hours to get to know the place before sundown. Their first stop was the local street market, where they would be able to find information about a place to rent, the nearby forest, and the major activities of the most prominent villagers.
• It was already an improvement in comparison to their old village, where the closest thing they had to a street market was a monthly trade with three or four stalls.
• Bree felt more at home in that place than she felt during the short period in her last house. She didn’t even get to see the village there, and she was beginning to think the elements led her there simply because it was more or less on the way of their new destination.
