- There are some holders mounted to the walls, candles burning and flickering, throwing long shadows over the tiled floor. I stepped forward and let the tips of my fingers dip into the water, not just lukewarm but hot and perfect considering that I was drenched. My body constantly felt cold and clammy due to the unpredictable weather outside.
- Staring at the mirror, I took a few more breaths before running a hand through my damp hair. This place bought back a lot of memories; they were beautiful but haunting. I often met with Martha outside this place, not wanting to spoil her business with my presence. Even though the kind woman insisted there’s no such thing. I was aware of the mentality in the pack, their evil eyes and whispers behind my back.
