Chapter 20

• Pulling open the door, I gaped at the sight in front of me, mouth falling slack. My heart started thudding loudly in my chest as the Alpha walked past me. The entire room instantly reeked of his spicy scent; my breath caught in my throat. 
• It took me a few seconds to realise that I was still standing at the door, holding on to the handles like a fool. Whirling around, I pinned him with a look, watching his back muscles. I crossed my arms against my chest. 
• “Reed, what do you think you are doing?” I inquired sternly; my eyes displayed the significant indignation my voice tried to convey.
