- Putting on a weak smile, I made my way towards Reeds chair, draping my arm over his neck. My sharp nails dug into the Alphas shoulder blades, watching as he didn't even flinch. I leaned forward, lips parting as I met my father's eyes.
- "Dad, you should focus on getting rest instead of indulging in silly conversations," I said.
- "It's not silly!" Reed piped from below, his lips twisting, offended.
