Chapter 3 Catching The Feelings

  • A few meters or so around him were empty, which was not surprising given that his aura, even from a distance, was practically screaming,
  • "I dare you to stand next to me and breathe the same air that I do." "You useless peasants."
  • "Lovely." Samantha muttered under her breath.
  • A normal person with a sense of self-preservation would, of course, keep their distance and mind their own business.
  • Nonetheless, despite knowing what a dangerous man he appears to be, women were drawn to him. He had that bad vibe that women crave when they have a dirty fantasy.
  • Naturally, that fatal s.e.x. appeal that seemed to be oozing from his very bones got her completely intoxicated, just like any other straight woman. Samantha's mouth dried up as she realized, much to her chagrin, that she was a little breathless and giddy.
  • The man turned his gaze and their gazes met just as she was about to stop assessing him. For a split second, they just stared at each other before she noticed he curved his perfectly-structured lips and smiled devilishly at her.
  • Samantha quickly averted her gaze from him. She could feel her cheeks flush and get hot after being caught red-handed checking him out.
  • Her hands clutched the cocktail glass as she took another sip, trying to calm her agitated nerves.
  • "Mantha you're blushing!" Mia Ren, the woman seated across from Samantha, exclaimed in amazement, and all of them turned to stare at Samantha.
  • They have a deep understanding of their best friend, Samantha, who was the kind of refined and graceful woman who remained calm and collected no matter what the circumstances. So seeing Samantha blushing because of the man was a first since her late husband's death.
  • "I'm not. "This cocktail is quite strong." Samantha denied telling them half-truths because the White Russian coctail made her dizzy and her skin was extremely sensitive to alcohol.
  • Rebecca leaned over, a playful grin on her face. "You're a jerk, Mantha!" He's freaking hot, and God, that smile alone makes me hot." she said.
  • Rebecca fanning herself with her hand around her face. "I noticed him smiling at you."
  • "If I were you, and Daniel wasn't waiting for me at home, I would be all over that hottie, and you already know how the rest of the story goes." Rebecca added, licking her lips.
  • Rebecca couldn't believe it when she began to feel uneasy, tingling all over at the sight of the man's somewhat sensual smile. As she moistened her lips, a glint of lust appeared in her eyes.
  • "Stop, Jess! He only smiles at everyone." Samantha denied it once more, trying to deflect the man's stormy gaze. The deflection attempt was futile because the image of his alluring grin kept flashing through her mind.
  • "Jess I know you're a pervert. But you're nearly old enough to be his mother." Mia snorted a laugh and shook her head at her shameless best friend. She wholeheartedly agreed that the man was sensually flawless, but for the love of the Goddess, he is too young for them.
  • "Does it matter?" Rebecca twitched her lips and rolled her eyes at Mia. I'm sure you'll get wet regardless when you see what's beneath that sexy suit. I'm stroking those rippling pecs and fucking hard abs. Don't be afraid; we're all women."
  • "Don't tempt me, I'm a devoted married woman," Mia said bitterly, laughing.
  • "Mantha, he really smiled at you," Eva said as she peered at the man. In fact, he had been watching you the entire time."
  • Eva wasn't sure whether she should be happy or worried about Samantha. She had always tried to persuade Samantha to date. It had been fifteen years, and she knew she still hadn't moved on from her late husband.
  • Eva wanted the best for Samantha as a best friend. Samantha is attracted to this gorgeous man, as she is to her girlfriend.
  • But the man was too hot, and it was clear from the bad vibes he gave off that he was a womanizer. Any woman of sound mind should avoid getting involved with him.
  • Samantha bit her lower lip as she sipped her White Russian Cocktail. Despite the fact that the alcohol was making her dizzy, she continued to drink.
  • She didn't know why, but she was overcome by a vaguely familiar sensation. It could be the alcohol, or it could be the years of loneliness she had accumulated.
  • She couldn't deny her feelings for this dashing gentleman. She couldn't believe she had been smitten by his single glance. It was even the first time she had feelings for someone other than her late husband.
  • Furthermore, based on her observations. Oh, Goddess, his smile at her was simply sensual. She recognizes that kind of smile. That is most emphatically not a harmless smile.
  • Her mind was a jumbled mess.
