Chapter 7

• Richard McCarthy’s POV:
• I started liking her? Really? I don’t know. I don’t really know how should I confirm that I like her.
• “eyy hey what am I here for haa? Use me. You like her man-boy. I can only sense it coz I don’t really have eyes of my own. Why did you think I acted that way towards you?” my ‘mind’ asked.
• ‘why’ I questioned.
• “you dumb body don’t you know why I did that? It was to make you realize that you love her” my ‘mind’ said.
• ‘love is a huge word ‘mind’ brother. I think its like starting stage of liking’ I said to my ‘mind’.
• “ofo Richard okay I’ll let you use the liking word for now at least you realized you had feelings for her” my ‘mind’ said in a happy tone.
• ‘now tell me how to confirm my liking towards her?’ I questioned my ‘mind’.
• “well that’s for me to know and you to find out” my ‘mind’ said.
• ‘what are you going to do ‘mind’ ? you dare do something off and you’ll find out what I’ll do to you’ I said to my ‘mind’, not knowing what he was planning.
• After this little talk with my ‘mind’, I and sapph had our lunch, came back to my cabin and soon it was time for us to go home. After that incident sapph glued herself to me and stayed right beside me even during meetings.
• “people he’s not complaining about my sweetheart sticking by his side all day. Just saying in case you people don’t know” my ‘mind’ said to the people around?
• ‘now you are completely ill ‘mind’. You’ve even started talking to people around as if they could hear you? I should visit a psychiatrist. Don’t worry you’ll be fine. I assure you that you will stop talking to me also. How great that can be?’ I said with a smiling face.
• “yea… yea… you can only dream on me not talking to you. Keep on dreaming about that atleast you will be happy in your sleep” my ‘mind’ said as if it told me the greatest and biggest fact of my life.
• ‘whatever….’ I said. Me and sapph reached my apartment. We entered the living room and suddenly the lights went on and my parents and friends came out of their hiding places.
• “surprise!!!!!!!!! Happy birthday Richard “ they all said.
• “today’s my birthday? I totally forgot it” I said being really surprised.
• “mom, dad why didn’t youll tell me in the morning?” I questioned my mom and dad.
• “well it wouldn’t be a surprise then, duhhh” my mom answered.
• “what the hell are you all dressed in?” I asked feeling really embarrassed at what they were wearing.
• “haha looks heavenly right? Oh my darling boy we had your costumes prepared too. You will just love them. Oh my boy is all grown up. I’m so happy” my mom being my mom said excitedly.
• “mom who themes a birthday party in aquarium concept?” I asked/whispered.
• “awww thank you baby glad you like my concept. Hahaha told ya james that he’d love this concept” my mom said thinking that I liked the concept.
• “mom is great I love the concept. Just imagine if you were a real fish how great that would be. You can swim all day long and I can talk to you all day” my ‘mind’ said with enthusiasm.
• God what am I going through. Arghhhh its my birthday for heaven’s sake. Which grown up idiot would want to dress up himself in a fish suit for his birthday party.
• “golden days of your life. Just imagine Richard your birthday pictures would make tomorrow’s headlines saying ‘mr. fish McCarthy on his way to the sea but had a stop at his house to celebrate his birthday with his family fishes, friend fishes and girlfriend fish’” my ‘mind’ said.
• ‘girlfriend? Who’s she? I’ve surprisingly never met my own girlfriend’ I said to my ‘mind’.
• “Richie rich see….. how nice my dress is. Sam gave this outfit” sapph said. Well.. she was wearing nemo’s outfit. She looked so cute.
• “Richie rich I want to see you wear your outfit. I’m eagerly waiting…” she said. I am ready to do anything she asks me at this moment. People please don’t misunderstand me by thinking that I’m wearing the outfit because I love her. Its just because she was cute I agreed on wearing it.
• “I just hope by god’s grace she asks you to get naked. Now that you are in a phase of your life when you’ll do everything she asks for” my ‘mind’ said.
• ‘shut up will ya’ I shot back.
• My mom prepared a shark outfit for me. Yea… I already finished cursing myself for agreeing to wear this outfit. Okay Richard lets get over with this party. By the time I came down, all were busy either dancing or talking. I searched for sapph but couldn’t find her.
• “if you are searching for your wife, she’s in the dining room with your friends” my mom said.
• “wife, mom? Really? I thought dad was good at joking but now, I can proudly say that you are better than dad” I said with sarcasm overflowing.
• I soon went into the dining room only to see chris feeding sapph, sapph pecking chris’s cheek for every bite he fed and Alvin cliking their pictures.
• “will you deal with this or you want me to control you and handle this scene in front of you” my ‘mind’ shouted in rage.
• ‘don’t worry I got this’ I said to my ‘mind’.
• “what the hell do you think you are doing chris? Explain now.” I shouted.
• “awwww is richieeee baby jealous? Do you want to be kissed like chris too?” Alvin said and all of my friends laughed.
• “stop this nonsense. And you stop feeding her. She is mine to feed” I said out with rage covering every word I spoke and all of them burst out laughing again except for sapph.
• “Richie rich why are you shouting? I want kissy to feed me. He said that we can even play bathing game once the party is over” sapph said grinning.
• “the hell he would princess” saying that I pulled her to me and kissed her hungrily in front of Alvin, xander, ricky, chris.
• Sapph pushed me away and wiped her mouth. I laughed at her doing that. She looked so cute.
• “Richie rich why were you kissing me since morning?” sapph asked.
• “princess we can kiss each other. It’s our right to kiss each other. I can only kiss you and you can only kiss me” I said.
• “ahhh why? I wanted to kiss all of our friends” she said little disappointed.
• “no princess, you cant do that. This kissing game is my game so, we have to play it according to the rules set by me” I said pecking her nose.
• “then, bathing game is my game and I can play it with anyone I want yayyy” she said laughing.
• “bathing game is off limits to every guy except for me princess” I said and sealed her lips again so that she couldn’t talk.
• “you kiss her, you feel jealous but you still say that you don’t love her. You are a coward mister” my ‘mind’ said.
• ‘ ‘mind’, kissing someone can also be without loving and I wasn’t jealous so stop. Ask anyone ‘mind’ they’d say the same thing I said’ I said to my ‘mind’.
• “Richard…. You’ll feel sorry someday for not accepting your feelings now” my ‘mind’ said.
• Everyone was dancing and enjoying. It was time for my mom and dad to give their speeches.
• “awww my little cute voldermort grew to be so cute and handsome. I pray to heavens asking for him to marry sapphire soon and give many grandbabies what do you say honey?” my mom said.
• “I agree with you honey. Please give us grandbabies as soon as you can” my dad said. Everyone started dancing again until I heard someone calling me out loud.
• “Richard-------- my love” some familiar voice said . I turned towards the voice and immediately hugged the person.
• “grace……... How are you?” I asked grace. Grace is my best friend since high school. Everyone thought that I and her had a thing going on in between but, we were just friends.
• “I’m good Richard… well your parents want babies let’s make some” grace joked.
• “get your filthy hands off her now. I want you to only touch my sweetheart. If she misunderstands this you are in biggest trouble of your life mister duck poop” my ‘mind’ said and I ignored and me and grace went into the balcony to talk and catch up.
• “I thought you were busy gracie” I said. Well she a successful model and work’s her first priority.
• “I missed you Richard. I had to come” she said with a smile on her face.
• Samantha McCarthy’s POV:
• “who invited her?” I asked. Xavier, chris, Alvin, ricky shook their heads denying.
• “ I invited her mom” chloe said.
• “and why would you do that?” I enquired.
• “ she was pestering me asking about Richard and said that she missed him so I had to invite her. What’s the big deal” chloe answered.
• I hate this girl grassy or macie or whatever her name is. She used to stick by richard’s side during his high school and practically lived in our house. Now, she’s up to something I can sense it. I should do something and make Richard sleep with sapph. Sapph is the daughter in law I always wanted while that grassy is totally opposite and makes me go crazy. I have to do something.
• Sapphire’s POV:
• Everyone almost left except for sam, james, my friends, the new girl. Richard and that girl are still talking. Richard never talked to anyone this long. Who is she to him? Why did they hug each other?
• “who is she to him vinny?” I asked vinny.
• “she’s his friend princess, grace” he said kissing my forehead. oh so she’s his friend. Well.. she’s beautiful like a real princess.
• After a while the remaining people left and I was alone in the living room waiting for Richie rich and grace are still talking. I walked into the balcony and saw them laughing.
• “Richie rich…. Its time to bath and go to bed” I said to Richie rich.
• “who’s this?” grace questioned him.
• “gracie this is sapphire and princess this is grace my friend” Richie rich said. If she’s his friend then who am I to him?
• “hello sapphire” gracie said.
• “hello” I answered.
• “princess you go take a bath and go to sleep I’ll be right back and grace will be staying with us” Richie rich said. I just nodded and ran to our room. I took a bath and tried sleeping but sleep was miles away from me.
• Why did he not introduce me also as his friend? I’m hurt and why is she staying with us?
