Chapter 3

• Richard McCarthy’s POV:
• “so… what’s the good news?” I asked Alvin. My heart was beating so fast and acting as if it got possessed by Usain Bolt.
• “there were few missing cases….but,” Alvin said.
• “but… what Alvin ? did you meet her family?, are they ready to take her now?, answer me dammit” I said suppressing my anger.
• “slow down tiger… here comes the good news…. None of those missing cases identities match with princess” Alvin said. I swear I could see the huge grin plastered on his face.
• “yeyyyyyy god almighty has answered my prayers. God is there. I can now say that I’m completely aware of your doings, god. Thank you god, thank you soo much” my ‘mind’ said rejoicing.
• ‘what ‘mind’ you have been praying behind my back asking god to help you keep her here with me?’ I asked frustrated.
• “yesssss… and look what happened he answered my prayers. God is there. Muhahahaha muhahaha muhahaha “ my mind said as if he won an Oscar award.
• “why are you soo happy that she’s not going Alvin ? I asked
• “well… I’m partially happy for me and completely happy for you because I got a sisterly figure and you are going to settle down in life with my sister” Alvin said as if it was what I planned on doing that is, settling down with her
• “what the hell are you talking Alvin I’m just helping her nothing more than that” I shot back.
• “oh so when are you going to bring the remaining people on streets to your pent house and help them?” Alvin asked
• “yeah.. answer him Richard when are you going to show your hospitality to others on streets?” my ‘mind’ mocked me.
• “will you shut up Alvin? I’m first of all soo frustrated not knowing what to do with her and here you are mocking me?” I said to Alvin
• “what do you mean what are you going to do? Follow your heart Richard. Do as it says” Alvin said.
• “whatever” I said.
• “yeah.. sorry I forgot to tell you all of us are meeting at our usual place tomorrow morning. Chris has something important to tell us.” Alvin said.
• “yeah I’ll clear my schedule and come there” I said and cut the call.
• Following heart?...........bullshit. Do I really have time to deal with my heart? First of all I have an idiotic ‘mind’ which does whatever it wants and he wants me to deal with my heart.
• “Richard, my brother heart is with me so don’t worry we will make you insane and make you to accept your feelings towards her” my ‘mind said.
• ‘can speak in language which I can understand? What are the feelings which you are talking about?’ I asked my ‘mind’.
• “the feelings which you are not ready to accept” my ‘mind’ said.
• Arghhhh I’m going insane. I’m literally going insane. I think I need to see a psychiatrist. Whose mind would speak to people and make them insane?
• I was in this argument with my ‘mind’ and suddenly I felt a hand on my cheek. It was sapphire’s hand gently caressing my cheek. I was drawn into the depth of her eyes that I didn’t hear what she was saying. Her lips were literally moving but, I was unable to hear anything. Once I came out of my trance I was able to hear what she was saying.
• “Richie rich why are you sad? , were you hungry?, sorry I ate a lot so you didn’t have anything to eat. Please don’t send me out of the house. I’m afraid. I’ll eat less from now on” she said looking melancholic.
• “Richard I swear on god almighty that if you send her away from the house, I will f***ing kill you” my ‘mind’ said angrily.
• ‘so you are saying me that you would kill me for sending her away from my own house? Remember ‘mind’ that you are my part of body that means my property and you cant do anything against my will’ I replied courageously.
• Yeah…. I’m quite afraid of my ‘mind’ because once it sets itself on something, it would do it . I mean it guys. My ‘mind’ destroyed my enemies business’s with ease.
• “yes… I will see your end if she’s going away” my mind shot back.
• ‘fine I would not send her away even if you force me too. I’ll keep her here until she’s safely sent back to her family’ I said.
• By the time I completed my little conversation with my ‘mind’, I saw sapphire crying her eyes out. Shit man I must’ve answered her before talking to the stupid called as my ‘mind’
• “princess why are you crying? And why do you think I’d send you away? There’s no way I’m letting you live on streets again. And no I want you to eat more princess .Got it?” I said cooing the baby in front of me.
• “ th..then wh…why are y..you sad?” sapphire asked hiccupping.
• “awwww soo cute. She hiccups like a goddess” my mind said.
• I internally rolled my eyes. He finds her hiccupping cute? God I’m done with my brain please free me from it, I’ll live in asylum if you want me to.
• “when was I sad princess? I was just thinking about my phone call with Alvin. Don’t worry princess okay? Do you want to watch a movie? We can do anything you want” I said to her while hugging her.
• “Sweetheart please say that you want make love, please….. god almighty please make her say that I beg off you for the second time this day” my ‘mind’ said out desperately.
• ‘you cheap as* why would she want to make love with me?’ I asked my ‘mind’.
• “yes let’s watch a movie, Richie rich” she said innocently.
• “ ahhh nuts man may be we should postpone this love making to some other time” my ‘mind said.
• I thought frozen would be good so that’s how we ended up watching frozen. I looked at her sometime during the climax of the movie and saw that she was sleeping snuggling me. I took a moment and noticed her face. She looks soo innocent sleeping like that. I was interrupted by my one and only ‘mind’.
• “look all you want she’s all your’s. how can she manage to look sexy even when she’s sleeping? Oh god I think I’ll get wet dreams starting from tonight. Ahhhh how I wish she’s under you naked and all sweaty and asks you to continue making love to her all night. God I want to be inside of her. Please make it happen” my ‘mind’ said with a smug expression.
• ‘why the hell would I make love to her? Listen ‘mind’ your function in my body is to store things and help me think. Don’t you dare over function and participate in every thing’ I said.
• “ oh…. Richard what do you think I’m doing now? I’m helping you memorize the places you are going to make love to her. You should be rejoicing that I’m functioning too good” my ‘mind’ said .
• Huff im done talking with my mind. I have to cook something before sapphire wakes up. So, I went into the kitchen and started making sandwiches.
• I finished preparing sandwiches. So I turned on my phone to check the updates. There were 3 missed calls from my P.A. Now it is 9:03 so I thought of calling her after having dinner.
• I went to the couch to see sapphire still sleeping. The medication must’ve knocked her out. I gently shook her asking her to wake up. She woke up and stared at her surroundings dazed.
• I took her hand and made her stand up and led her to the dinning table. We started eating and she started asking me questions.
• “Richie rich… why was sleeping on streets earlier?” she asked.
• I didn’t know what to say so I did the best thing that I could do right now that is lying.
• “you ran away from home princess. so it took us time to reach until you” I answered
• “ can we buy candies tomorrow Richie rich?” she asked innocently.
• I smiled at her and patted her head softly nodding.
• “ we will buy candies and dolls and many things tomorrow hehe” she said happily.
• And how the hell can I resist that cute little face….. arghhh I’m in trouble.
• “and I’m in love” my ‘mind’ said to which I almost threw up everything I ate today.
• “so princess tomorrow we are going to meet my friends” I said to sapphire.
• “why, are you sending me with them?” she asked horrified.
• “no princess I’m just going to introduce you to them. I promise you that you’ll have loads of fun” I said.
• “hehe okay…” she said.
• After dinner I called Melissa my P.A and said that I’ll be coming to office late tomorrow and asked her to clear my schedule until tomorrow afternoon.
• I tucked sapphire in her bed and said good night to her and made my way to my room. It was 15 mins or so since I got to bed. I felt something heavy on my arm. I woke up to see sapphire wide awake lying on my arm.
• “why are you here princess?” I asked her.
• “I’m afraid to sleep alone. I want to sleep with you” she answered.
• “oh my holy duck’s poop she wants to sleep with you. This is your chance. Don’t let this opportunity go away. Grad her and make love to her. I can already imagine her naked again” my ‘mind’ said.
• ‘for heaven’s sake ‘mind’ she isn’t asking me to make love to her. She’s afraid to sleep alone so she wants to sleep with me. How come you are my brain? I’m better off without you. Every time you see her say something you always go to love making chapter. Get over it. I had it with many girls and will have with many of them in the future’ I shot back.
• “ yes you had s*x with many girls. But the only one whom you are going make love will be sweetheart from now on. So don’t argue with me now when you know that you can’t win” my ‘mind’ said.
• I internally rolled my eyes. I snuggled closer to her and kissed her forehead and said a good night.
