• “Hello?” I said when Kian finally accepted my call. “Hey.” I heard his bedsheets from the other line as he moves. “Marinella asked me to go to the party with you… you would come, right?” I bit my lower lip. He didn’t answer for over fifteen seconds.
• “U-Uh, yeah, I will come. I was just about to call you to tell you about it. I thought you are not going to any parties anymore?” Curiosity took over his voice. “Well.” I sighed. “One last time, I promise.” How many promises would I still need to make?
