Chapter 2 He Betrayed Me

  • Aria pov
  • I miss him already. What sort of pack meeting was he having that I couldn't come. I wish there was something I could do in the pack when him and the guys wasn't around. They were the only ones I could freely chat with. Because I was alpha Draven daughter. No one except for those that really knew me would be willing to chat with me freely. I was strong but just because I was didn't mean that I look down at the strength of others, I wasn't that kind of wolf.
  • I stood up from the couch I was laying on and mindlessly walk around the house. The Tv I was watching before was boring. I rather go out for a run and be one with my wolf than to sit down on a couch like a lazy bump. Beta Brian was standing outside talking to one of the men under him. It either an errand or he was assigned to strengthen security around the pack. I watch him through the window while waiting for him to walk into the pack house. I hardly see him around the pack lately. It was either because he was busy or because the only one I could ever truly see was my Bryant. I was completely captivated by him when he was around me.
  • "Ma" beta Brian greeted me with a little bow as he came into the pack house. A small smile was playing at his lip as I glared at him. There was no reason for him to do that. He knows that, he was not like the others, both of us were not strangers him, Kaiser, alpha Bryant and I were all childhood friends.
  • "I have told you so many times to stop calling me that." My black high boots made loud noise in the wooden floor of the pack house as I step towards beta Brian with my hands folded. I was putting on one of Bryant sweat shirt. His clothes was not so big to the point that it could swallow me up. It wasn't like Bryant wasn't tall. He was, it was just that I wasn't short and anyway, he was tall but not that tall. He was just few inches taller than me.
  • "Alright what shall I call you then, little pudding?"
  • My glare deepen as I remember the horrible nick name that was given to me in grade school. Back then I use to be short and chubby. Really chubby. I wasn't exactly the hotest girl in town when I was young. I look horrible at that time. But Bryant, Brian, and Kaiser, thought I was cute and adorable then. Am happy my looks got better as I grew up.
  • "Just please call me by name." I genuinely begged him. My past self was a memory I would like to forget. It wasn't easy growing up like that. I was happy that I had friends and that I was the alpha daughter, if not I was going to be bully. The friends I had always reminded me that I wasn't lonely. Especially Bryant, he was always by my side at that time. "Have you seen Bryant?" I asked. Remembering that Bryant had always been by my side make me really want him to be by my side right now.
  • "Alpha Bryant is with Jenny." A scared look came across his face as he look directly into my eyes while I roses an eyebrow at him. Who was Jenny? this was the first time I was hearing that name.
  • "I meant to say that he isn't around. He went out of the pack for a special meeting."
  • Beta Brian was lying. His story of Bryant whereabouts was different from the one that Bryant told me. I'm sure that there was something Brian knows but he doesn't want me to know about it.
  • "I know alpha Bryant is still in the pack." I said with more authority in my voice. I may not be the alpha daughter of this pack but still beta Brian was beneath me in rank. My wolf was stronger than his.
  • His mouth was shut. Brian couldn't say a word. This wasn't a good time for him to lie to me right now. If he can't talk right now, that means that his wolf must have swore to alpha Bryant. Beta Brian didn't have any other choices than to be loyal to his alpha.
  • "It's okay if you can't talk. Take me there." I ordered him, stepping out of the door. Beta Brian was after my heels. Soon he was in front of me leading me to a side of the pack I have never seen before.
  • It looks like the wolf here were really poor. What would Bryant be doing in a place like this? Was this really his hiding place or am I being decieve by beta Brian.
  • "I swear if this is all a trick, I'm going to make you pay!" I shouted at him. I didn't want to treat him like this because we were friends. But I felt uneasy about the name he called. My wolf was getting angry about the situation.
  • Beta Brian didn't say anything. He pointed to a small house that was around other house that looks similar to it. The house was very old. The color of the house looks as gloomy as the others. The place gave me goosebumps. What sort of place was this? Why was it so different from the others.
  • Stepping closer to the door of the house I could hear Bryant voice, along with an unfamiliar female voice.
  • "You left me, I know you were with her. I thought you promise me that you would break up with her." She cried.
  • My hand froze on the doorknob as I stood still, listening to their conversation.
  • "I know. But you don't understand, my relationship with Aria is special. She's my best friend. I don't know how to tell her the truth right now."
  • Best friend? Was that all I was to him.
  • "You can't have the both of us. Each time you are with her I feel it. My wolf feels it, all you are doing is causing us both pain. It is either you reject me or you reject her and accept me, Bryant. I'm your mate not her!" She shouted.
  • The door broke as my feet kick hard against it. With my werewolf speed I ran straight to Bryant and grab the collars of his shirt in anger. Before the girl who I heard speaking to Bryant could open her mouth. I use my other hand to push her far away, her body hit hard against the wall as she fell unconscious.
  • I could see the anger in Bryant eyes as his wolf was fighting hard to take over because of her. Because I hurt her. As I watch him trying so hard to control his wolf I realized the hot tears that was pouring down my cheeks.
  • "Why?" A single word was all I could choke out of me. He betrayed me.
