Chapter 16 APART 3 (SOUL SEPARATION)

• I chanted the spells as Reagan drew the soul separation bindings. There was so much tension in the air but we both refused to do any other thing much less think about it. We needed this separation and fast. The magic I placed on Aurora was fading away and I knew that if she woke up before we started the ritual, her vampire side wouldn't mode sending our souls beyond this world.

The knife represented the cut away of the soul and the skeleton represents the death of one's conscience.
