Chapter 15

• Amy
• I am so anxious to when my mom calls me telling me that she is already in town. The seminar is supposed to be ending at five in the evening. She says she will come to my apartment immediately after. I am so excited and nervous. I am just a bundle of nerves and I am afraid I will mess up. I have everything ready for her. I have already cleaned up and organized the entire apartment for her arrival. I really want to show my mom that I am now a grown and independent woman. I just want her to be proud of me.
• The knock on the door gets me to halt in my tracks. I am in the kitchen getting everything ready with the meal. I have already finished preparing and the only thing left is setting up the table and serving. I ran hastily to the door and take a deep breath before opening it. I don't want to appear a nervous mess when my mom sees me, but I am just too excited.
