Chapter 30

For the whole ride in Tripp’s vehicle, Terah had been nervous. She sat in the back watching out the windows, afraid at any moment that someone would come after her again. That fear was the only reason she got on the helicopter with Konner. She was trusting him to keep the large thing in the air. In front of her were so many switches and things all lit up, she didn’t know how he knew what each of them was for.
He gave her something called a headset to put on and currently it was trying to squish her head, but it was better than the loud noise the machine-made. Terah didn’t know where to look, by her feet was glass, beside her as well, her stomach did funny things when she looked down to see how far in the air they were. She could feel the vibration of the machine in her chest, it felt like it was humming through her entire body. Terah couldn’t wait to feel the ground beneath her feet again.
