Chapter 23

• A shiver moved over his body as he focused to change back to unscaled skin. Even after all these years of shifting from one to the other, he still felt a loss once air moved over his sensitive skin.
• Terah still hadn’t moved from her perch on the boulder, looking into the bush. He picked up his pants and pulled them on over the water-soaked epidermis of man. He made sure he made enough noise that he wouldn’t startle her and end up with a dart sticking out of him.
• “That feels better.” He said softly, knowing she’d hear.
