• The village was larger than he had thought it would be. In all the years of keeping informed about her, he never thought to look into her clan. If he were anyone else, he might feel intimidated, but after what he’d been through to prove himself and get on the team, there was nothing they could do or say that would phase him. His creature was close to the surface but working with his feelings and not fighting with him about their mate for once. He knew that they’d have to go into this with a united front to get Giana through it and back on the road.
