Chapter 53

• She looked over to see the door was wide open and huffed out a breath. “Don’t move.” Getting up, she ran out the door to the truck, sliding to a stop when she reached it. Closing the two doors, she patted her pocket for the keys. Locking it, she paused and looked around. Nothing in any direction but snow. Perfect. Her cat prodded her to get back in the house.
• Running back in, she shut the door a little harder than necessary, but she didn’t care. Bending down, she undid her boots.
• As she kicked the second one off, she looked over to see Griffin was still on the couch. He’d taken off his boots, jacket, and shirt. Her cat moved through her and something else—she was going to label it lust.
